About Charlotte
Hello! I’m Charlotte, I’m a music graduate and aspiring dog behaviourist based in Wythenshawe.
I offer 30 or 60 minute walks as standard but I'm happy to work around you & your dogs needs! Drop-ins available for all sorts of pets, if you have any questions just drop me a message!
I’ve been pet sitting full time since 2019 and a couple of years ago I completed a level 3 course in animal related studies! (Animal health & husbandry, canine training and animal welfare & behaviour).
In the future, I would love to do a masters degree in animal behaviour, but until then I’m looking to meet and work with as many animals as I can!
I have experience with a multitude of creatures including reptiles, small mammals, insects, aquatics and tarantulas.
I understand that animals are more than just pets. I will always treat them as I would my own & provide the best possible care. I do all I can to be kind, patient and understanding when it comes to animals (even the REALLY stubborn ones) and their safety will always be my top priority!
I know dogs can be particularly good at getting themselves into trouble, so I have a full pet first aid kit just in case of any accidents!
Size is no issue! My absolute favourite breed of dog is the Alaskan Malamute so giant breeds are more than welcome.
I’m especially partial to stubborn/boisterous dogs! Solo walks are available if your dog is reactive or in training, and I’m happy to work alongside any behaviour work you have in progress.
I was accustomed to some particularly spirited dogs very early on in my career, it’s what originally sparked my interest in dog behaviour!
A bit more about me, if you fancy a read!
Technically, my animal origin story began when I was 4 - my mum brought home two tiny rescue kittens and I became instantly besotted. I declared very proudly I would work with animals and become a vet!
In my late teens I was lucky enough to visit both a small animal and an equine vets for work experience, I got to sit in on a horse ultrasound & a cat spay! It was somewhere here I quickly realised I was destined for the behaviour world, not the surgical one!
As I got older I worked at a boarding kennels caring for both cats & dogs and then later went on to work as part of a fabulous team of dog walkers back in my hometown.
I credit my soft spot for opinionated dogs to my childhood pooches, my beautiful lady Jasmine who has absolutely zero patience for anybody who isn’t a tennis ball. I also credit her for my top notch fetch throw! & Her fabulous little sister Lena, who is essentially a cloud with terrible breath, and quite possibly the cutest thing on the planet (although I admit I’m slightly biased).
Exotics & Everything else
I was bought a toy snake as a child on a visit to Chester zoo, so naturally, the second I turned 18 I purchased a bearded dragon called Frank and a royal python habitat (much to my mother’s dismay).
Currently alongside Sir George the royal python - who turned 11 this year! - I have two sweet bearded dragon sisters, Ember and Mango 💚
Previously, I’ve kept both cold water and tropical fish, various colonies of insects and an incredibly sweet tarantula!
I’m interested in all sorts of creatures, so if there’s anything weird and wonderful that you need caring for, just let me know!
