About Tom
Hello! My name is Tom and, as my header says, I'm your pet's new best friend!
I have adored animals since I was a young boy. I was born into a dog loving family and my parent's Springer was the first friend I ever made. From the moment my parents brought me home at just 3 days old, Algie and I were inseparable. From then on I have found a love and comfort in animals.
If I had a £1 for every animal I have been lucky enough to meet where the owner has said, "Oh wow! He/She never takes to people this quickly!", I would have lots of £1s!!
To me, there is no purer type of affection than that of an animal. I am incredibly grateful for the trust and relationships that I have been able to build with animals during my life, and I can honestly say no amount of these will ever be enough for me!
As the owner of two dogs myself, I fully understand how difficult it can be to put your trust in someone to love your pet as much as you do, and to take the best of care of them. I can promise you that whilst the love and care I can give your pet would never come close to the beautiful relationship you have with them, I am the next best thing!
I work an active job and take around 20,000 steps per shift, so rest assured there is no walk too long for me! One of my own dogs, Kai, is an old boy now and so we've got our short walks down to perfection for his decreased abilities in his old age.
I can cuddle up on the sofa or on a fluffy rug after a short walk with the more senior of pets, or with the youngsters after a longer walk and lots of playtime!
My job also requires a lot of heavy lifting, and so does my old boy when it's time to climb the stairs to bed. I'm confident in carrying animals as much as they need and to wherever they need to go.
I have my own car and love driving, so if your pet has a favourite spot to exercise then that's where we shall go!
In any case of emergency, I can promise you that I will take your pet to the best place for them. Whether that would be their registered vet, or to a family member / friend's house.
In all honestly, there isn't a lot I wouldn't do for animals!
I am confident in giving animals their medication if required. My youngest dog Alfie may not know how to push open a door that is slightly ajar, but you can bet he knows when there's some medicine hidden in his food! As such, I've become very well versed in sneaking it to him safely and without stress.
You can expect to receive as many updates as possible! I will always have my camera at the ready to capture the cute and funny moments of your pet's day so you know they're enjoying themselves as best they can without you.
