About us 🐾

We’re Anja and Robbie, a couple in our late 20s based near Reading. We love animals and enjoy the quiet, home-based lifestyle that comes with caring for them.

• 🏡 5+ years of housesitting experience — we’ve been housesitting full-time since January 2025.
• 🐶 Lots of pet experience — we’ve cared for dogs and cats with different personalities, ages and routines.
• 💻 Someone home most of the day — Anja works from home as a romance novel translator and makes her own hours, so pets get plenty of company.
• 🚭 Quiet lifestyle — we don’t smoke, drink or party.
• ❤️ We genuinely enjoy animals — we like getting to know each pet and making sure they feel comfortable and settled.

What we offer

For dogs 🐕

• 30–60 minute walks, depending on your dog’s age, energy and usual routine
• Toilet breaks and plenty of company
• Playtime, cuddles and attention
• Happy to take dogs on countryside walks where appropriate
• We follow your normal feeding and walking routine

For cats 🐈

• Feeding according to their usual schedule
• Playtime and cuddles for cats who enjoy attention
• Plenty of company and interaction
• Happy to give independent cats their own space
• Litter tray care

Additional care

• 💊 Happy to administer medication and follow specific care instructions
• 🐾 Comfortable with older pets and pets with additional routines, as long as we know their needs in advance
• 📸 Regular photo and message updates while you’re away
• 🏠 We treat your home with the same care and respect as our own

Our lifestyle

We love a quiet, relaxed life and spend our free time exploring the countryside, visiting National Trust properties, browsing farm shops and finding cosy cafés. We especially love places where we can bring dogs along!

Because Anja works from home and has flexible hours, we’re particularly suited to pets who enjoy having someone around during the day or don’t like being left alone for long periods.

Our goal is simple: you get to enjoy your time away knowing your pets are happy, cared for and sticking to their normal routine. 🐾
