I’ve always had cats and am a huge animal lover, currently sharing my home with two cats and two dogs. I previously worked as a trainee veterinary nurse, so I’m confident administering medication and injections, as well as caring for cats of all ages, from playful kittens to older cats who may need a little extra attention. I’m equally happy looking after shy or nervous cats, always allowing them to approach me at their own pace. I’ve been cat sitting for several years, with regular clients as well as occasional bookings. I understand how important it is to know your pets are happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away, and I treat every cat as if they were my own. I’m also happy to keep you updated as much or as little as you prefer. Whether you’d like photos and a little update after every visit, or would rather relax and enjoy your time away knowing everything is taken care of, I’m more than happy to work around your preferences. I believe cats are happiest in their own familiar surroundings, so I always try to keep their routine as normal as possible while their owners are away. Before any booking, I like to have a chat with owners to get to know their cats, including their usual routines, likes, dislikes and any little quirks or special requirements. Every cat has their own personality, and I think it’s important to understand what makes them happy and comfortable. During visits, I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter trays and plenty of attention, whether that’s cuddles, playtime or simply some quiet company. I’m equally happy giving shy or nervous cats their space and letting them approach me in their own time. I’m also happy to administer medication where needed and follow any specific care instructions. I’ll always treat your home with respect and make sure everything is clean, tidy and secure before leaving.
