Hi, I’m Rachel!

I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with Spaniels, so I’m very used to "velcro" dogs and high energy, but I’ve also looked after huge breeds like Mastiffs. I’m currently saving up for some travel dreams and figured the best way to do that is by spending my time outdoors with great dogs.

My Routine & The "2-Hour Rule"

I work from home, so your dog won't be staring at a door all day. They usually just hang out under my desk or on the couch next to me while I work. Because I’m a bit overprotective, I never leave dogs alone for more than 2 hours at a time. If I need to run an errand, I time it for when they’re usually napping anyway.

Where I stay

I usually prefer to house-sit or commute to you. Dogs are just more relaxed when they’re in their own space with their own smells. I do have a housemate, but if you’d rather your dog stay at my place, I’m happy to have you over for a coffee and a meet-and-greet to see if it’s a good fit for everyone.

The Practical Stuff

• Exercise: Whether your dog needs a 5km run or a slow sniff-about down the street, I’ll match their pace.

• Food & Meds: I’m very precise with feeding times and portions. If they have a specific raw diet or need meds at certain times, I’ve got it covered.

• Sleeping: I just stick to whatever they do with you. If they’re used to the crate, their own bed, or sleeping in the bedroom, I keep that routine exactly the same so they feel secure.

• Safety: I’m a big believer in double-checking gates and being hyper-aware of other dogs on walks. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Updates

I’m a total shutterbug, so I’ll send you plenty of photos and videos of what we’re up to. You’ll never have to wonder how they’re doing.

Availability

I’m fully flexible Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and all weekend. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I work 9–5, but I’m still available for morning/evening walks and overnight stays. I have solid references and regularly do long-term boarding (I have a 10-day stay booked for this summer!).
