Hi, I'm James.

I have always been an animal lover and grew up with many pets (including cats, dogs and a guinea pig). There's nothing like animals to make a home feel warm and loved and I couldn't imagine living in a house without them! 

My partner and I now have 2 cats (Doom and Baggles) who we adopted as rescue kittens and our black Labrador (and Therapy Dog), Cara. Because of our menagerie, I am unable to look after others' pets at my house but am very happy to care for them in their own homes in the local area.

I can offer dog walks of 30 mins to 1.5 hours. I am comfortable with young or excitable dogs, but as Cara is now a senior citizen I also have plenty of experience caring for and adapting to life with older dogs. I am very happy to discuss their needs and tailor what I offer accordingly. I have a particular affinity with cats and am available for home visits (feeding, cleaning litter trays etc). Doom and Baggles are indoor cats so I have a real appreciation of the importance of regular play to keep them entertained and exercised!

I regularly mind pets for family and love any opportunity I get to make new furry friends.

I am DBS checked due to my work as a Mobility and Practical Support Worker at a local university, which I work my pet-sitting around. This is a job that requires care, empathy and constant attentiveness which I believe is equally important to apply to my work with animals. I can be flexible in terms of availability and short-notice, especially during the university holidays.
