I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I still treasure a childhood photograph of myself cuddling a cat, taken when I was very young, and it perfectly captures the indescribable happiness animals have always brought into my life.

For many years, I have dedicated a significant part of my life to helping homeless and abandoned cats and dogs in Bulgaria. I have rescued and supported animals suffering from terrible conditions — from injuries and broken paws or ribs to spinal problems, abandonment and extreme neglect.

I have also cared for newborn kittens who were abandoned in plastic bags at only a few days old. Some required feeding, toileting and constant care every three hours, day and night. I often put their needs before my own and used my own money to provide food, veterinary care and everything necessary to give them a chance of survival.

Although this has sometimes been physically, emotionally and financially exhausting, I have never given up. Even now, while living in the UK, I continue to support friends in Bulgaria who are involved in rescuing and caring for homeless animals.
I am also very comfortable caring for dogs and providing safe, enjoyable and attentive walks. I understand that every dog is different, so I adapt the pace, distance and length of the walk to the individual dog's age, energy level, temperament and needs. During walks, I remain fully attentive to the dog rather than treating the walk as simply exercise. Safety, supervision and keeping the dog comfortable and happy are always my priorities.

Through decades of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of animals and their different needs, behaviours and personalities. I am comfortable caring for animals in challenging circumstances and understand how important patience, gentleness, observation and responsibility are.

For me, caring for animals is not simply a job. It is something that has been part of my life for over 50 years. I would treat every pet entrusted to me with the same love, patience and care that I have always given to the animals I have rescued.
