I adore animals. This photo is with domestic animals but I have photos of me with animals that aren't too including tigers. I an a polymath who delights in nature walks and being with animals and children. I was a nanny for 15 years, trained to be a therapist and now I have turned my attention, aptitudes, knowledge and instincts towards dog care and walking.Ideally I wish to have poodle, poodle mixes, schnauzers and other small breeds as this is really where my experience is. I am happy to take on dogs with medical needs but because I have a dog of my own for Daycare dogs would need to be happy dogs as my own is happy and laid back. Dogs should be vaccinated, flea treated and wormed before coming and for walks please.I can offer your dog intelligent care and by this I mean someone who has excellent communication skills. I can't help but train and teach that comes from having been a nanny. I have no doubt your dog will thrive under my care or on walks. If they are in daycare with me they will have access to agility equipment, licky mats and a range of other types of stimulation. To make sure dogs do not get bored I will walk them in different environments including the countryside if pawrents book it or request it.&nbsp;

About me
I live at home with my family and a 10 year old male Australian Kelpie called Ben. The house has a large back garden which is fenced and my area is surrounded by plenty of green areas and dog parks.
I have always wanted to work with animals they are all so loving and deserve the best care there is to offer. 
I am currently studying as a Level 3 Teaching assistant apprentice working specifically with children who have additional and complex needs.
I work Monday-Friday until 6pm and I have half terms and weekends off.
Qualifications
I achieved a Distinction* Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Animal Management after studying for 2 years in 2020.
At college I worked with a variety of different animals from domesticated to exotic and small mammals.
I have extensive knowledge about animal behaviour, well-being, training, diet and enrichment and I hope I'll have opportunities to show my skills.
I also did work experience at a local dog hydrotherapy company working with dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds from 2018-2020.
Services 
For the service you require, please read below before messaging me with the enquiry. This is to ensure that you are informed and can ask me any questions I haven't answered already.
Dog boarding 

  This service can be offered all year round per my updated calendar.
  During my working hours, your dog will be left alone for the most part of the day. This means your dog must be house trained and capable to be left alone for more than a few hours.
  Unfortunately I can not board female dogs. My dog has not been neutered.
  This service is available for small/medium male dogs only.


Doggy day care

  This service can be offered on the weekend and during my time off per my updated calendar. 
  Your dog will be under my supervision the whole time. 
  Standard times for this service are from 10am till 5am. Earlier drop off and late pick up can be arranged if needed.
  Exercise, food, and enrichment/play is included in this service. Grooming can be offered if needed.


  Unfortunately I can not offer day care for female dogs. My dog has not been neutered.
  This service is available for small/medium male dogs only.


Dog walking

  This service can be offered all year round per my updated calendar.
  Pick up and drop off is available at my address or yours. 
  I do not drive so please bare this in mind and let me know if your dog is comfortable on public transport.
  This service is available to female and male dogs of all sizes.
  Standard dog walking slots are around 1 hour however this can be discussed.

Home visits 

  This service can be offered all year round per my updated calendar.
  During term time, this service is only available after 6pm.
  2 home visits are available on weekends and during holidays.
  Home visits are typically 1 hour. 
  Exercise, food, enrichment/play is included in this service. Grooming and training can be offered if needed.
  This service is available for all pets in all shapes and sizes.

House sitting 

  This service can be offered all year round per my updated calendar. 
  During term time, your pet will be left alone most of the day whilst I'm at work.
  This service includes exercise, feeding, enrichment/play and cleaning enclosures if necessary if the correct equipment is provided by you.
  This service is available for all pets in all shapes and sizes.

I have Hugo for over a year, although I’m not a dog trainer. I put much effort in learning how to train my dog. Happy to say Hugo is a well-trained pup and he gets on well with most dogs.&nbsp;
I decided to be a sitter on Pawshake because we also use this platform to get other owners to look after Hugo when we’re in the office. It’d be great to have another dog accompany Hugo during the day. And I understand how difficult it is to look for daycare facilities. So hopefully I’ll be able to help some other dog owners who share the same struggle we have, finding dog daycare/boarding services. I live in Greenwich since 2015, and know the area very well. I looked after my friend's dogs before both for the day and overnights. I normally take the dogs out at least 3 times a day. Mostly to go to nearby parks. During the weekend, we like to venture out to the countryside for bigger fields to run around. Before accepting your request, I’d prefer to meet up with your dog to see if your dog gets on well with Hugo. Also, it’d be nice to get to know about you and your dog. I’m happy to host any dogs as long as the dog is house trained and friendly. And I will only accept dogs who are fully vaccinated.
Most situation I will take up-to 2 dogs maximum for daycare. The duration for walking dogs is 1 hour per session.

I would love to look after/walk your pet because I have a passion for taking care of animals, at home my two gerbils Doughball and Doughnut have a lovely and playful environment, I always make sure they are fed well and given the appropriate enrichment activities to support their natural behaviours.&nbsp;
While at my Dad's house I also take care of his two cats Marley and Mittens, along with Dog sitting which I have done previously, which involved taking Lottie on two walks a day, making sure she was fed and had clean water, and calming her on fireworks night when it was loud outside.&nbsp;
My house is quite big with many rooms so your pet will have a lot of room, at home there is 5 people so your pet will have plenty of time to interact with many different types of personality. We have high fences in our garden to ensure your pet won't escape, I have gerbils and cats at my dad's house so usually shut doors if your dog comes to stay to avoid the gerbils being frightened. Outside there is lots of open space and local parks to walk your dog in, along with a medium sized garden that your dog can roam free in.I am not able to perform medical attention or injections on your pet but I am able to administer any medication your dog might require, for example tablets or dog medicines. I am also able to identify when a dog might be feeling ill/injured, which will ensure I act quickly to make sure your pet is not in any danger. I am able to groom/brush your dog and will give it treats while walking to encourage a bond between me and your pet.

About me
I'm in my early 30s, work in consulting, and have been a dog-lover for as long as I remember. When I was younger, I would read a dog breed book for fun. I would also pretend to be walking a dog on lead to convince my parents to get a dog of our own... It worked eventually and we got our beloved Shih Tzu, Muffin, who sadly passed away at 16 years old in late 2022 :'(
Experience
I've walked dogs for the Cinnamon Trust - a charity that pairs up dog walkers with dog owners who have mobility challenges. Both were rescues: one was a fun Beagle x Cavalier, and the other was a senior, sweet Border Terrier. They both got anxious and bark-y, of loud noises, and other dogs respectively. If your dog has anything they get upset by, I'm always mindful of this and will distract them towards something else.
I have also boarded dogs in my home - a range of breeds and sizes, including a Bichon x Toy Poodle; an Australian Kelpie; and a Labradoodle.
Where your pet would stay 
I live in a 2nd floor small flat in Sydenham (opposite the Overground / Southern rail station).
I have recently had to install brand new carpets, so it would be important that they're well toilet trained, as I'd like to avoid accidents!
I work from home 9-6 most days - taking breaks every couple hours through the day so I can take the dogs out or play with them. 
I live with my partner who grew up with dogs and is the only other person who lives with me. We'll make sure one of us is always in.  It is on a quiet no through road (free roadside parking)
Dogs would sleep in the open plan lounge/kitchen with access to water/food as needed.
There's no garden however I have a flexible work schedule so can pop out frequently. I have 2 local parks (Mayow park and Alexandra Rec park) several mins walk away.
My services:
I will happily board 2 dogs if from the same household. 
As noted above, I don't have a garden so please be aware they will need to be used to only going out for the toilet every couple hours!
I'm able to discuss house sitting options. Note, I don't have a car so wouid need a lift, or be able to travel easily via train/bus (unless it's a longer stay of more than 2 nights)
I can offer oral medication if needed.  In terms of basic grooming I am happy to brush them having done this daily with my shih tzu back at home.I can support with basic training (eg. Sit, stay, lie down, shake paw)
I also offer dog walking if you are within walking distance or a short bus ride. Happy to chat to discuss duration and frequency of walks required.

I am able to offer boarding as long as your happy that although I did not have a garden, I do have greenery around my building and a large park on the other side of road. I only work evenings from home with the odd visit to office early morning and late evening.I do have three children from the ages of six and up. They all like to join me in walking dogs when they are not at school.My maisonette is a 3 bedroom that has a large living room and large kitchen, I have greenery around building a park across the road aswell as one at bottom of road.I love animals. I live in a maisonette but have a very large park across the road to take doggies for walks. I love playing with dogs and looking after them as I have done for friends for many years.
