Bonjour,
My name is Clara and I am French. I live with Chris who is half French, half British and we moved to London a little over 4 years ago (from Dubai where we met!). We want to become your pet's new best friends and home away- from-home when you are not around.
We live in a house about 2-min walk from Churchfields in Harrow-on-the-Hill and we work from home the majority of the time (apart from Tuesdays and Thursdays) so it is somehow very easy to take your doggy for a walk 3 times a day! We also have a car and would love your dog to take us on long weekend walks.
I grew up with cats (Praline and Châtaigne, Chestnut in English, 2 stray cats) and Chris with dogs (Vesta, a very greedy Labrador as well as Venus and Océane, 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) and in all honesty, the only thing that is stopping us from having our own pet is the fact that we go to France regularly and it would not be ideal and fair for a fury baby.
This is only to say that you can be 150% sure that we will love, cuddle, play and take care of your fluffy buddy in your absence.
Oh and we take frogs too... we promise we do not eat them... ha! ;)

Lap of Luxury is a local, independent company, based in Amersham, specialising in the provision of boutique day and overnight care for your beloved companions. We provide a range of services designed to make your dog as happy, stimulated and comfortable as possible. 
We focus on gentle socialisation and playing, with many young dogs not having been able to socialise enough during Covid lockdowns. If you continue to work from home, it can be helpful for your dog to have a change of scenery and to meet new people and play with different dogs in a safe and well-supervised environment.

Induction Process
My focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of small companion dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.3 – Eight hour day (or) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable.

Before Booking

Your dog should be at least one year old.
Please ensure your dog is housetrained.
Proof of being neutered / spayed.
Proof of annual vaccinations including kennel cough.

You Provide

Dog food that your dog normally eats.
Lead, collar/harness with ID tag.
You are encouraged to bring your dog’s bedding and favoured toys to ensure your dog feels at home.
Any necessary medicines and instructions.


During Your Dog's Stay

Lap of Luxury tags with our phone number attached to collar while in our care.
Daily pictures and updates.
Facetime/Whatsapp video calls with your dog when boarding.
Minimum of two 20-minute walks per day (or equivalent active playing in garden) during an eight-hour day care session; a third walk (or equivalent) per 24-hour stay in local parks and woodlands.
'Lead-always-on' policy during walks.
Coat brushed, paws, ears and eyes checked and cleaned daily.
Hills hypoallergenic treats and dried sprats (fish) provided with your permission.

Hey my name is Maya and I'm 18yrs old. Unfortunately I suffer from an illness that results in me having to stay home most of the time but I've decide to use the time I have to do someone I love, taking care of animals!! As well as it being something very therapeutic for me and something I enjoy doing I also have experience with pet care.
I offer a pet boarding and day care service with Pawshake for dogs and cats. I currently don't own any pets so my home is a great stay for furry friends who aren't ready for socialising with others.I can administer oral medication and offer 1-4 walks a day in the area and local parks.
I live in a cozy family home with 2 other family members.As I am always home and do not work there will be 24hr supervision other than some walks which may be done by another house member due to my mobility issues.Pets can sleep wherever they are most comfortable.I have an open plan living room and a small fenced garden.
