Lap of Luxury is a local, independent company, based in Amersham, specialising in the provision of boutique day and overnight care for your beloved companions. We provide a range of services designed to make your dog as happy, stimulated and comfortable as possible. 
We focus on gentle socialisation and playing, with many young dogs not having been able to socialise enough during Covid lockdowns. If you continue to work from home, it can be helpful for your dog to have a change of scenery and to meet new people and play with different dogs in a safe and well-supervised environment.

About Me
Having finished a career in marketing and advertising, then as a children’s/youth charity fundraiser, I decided to turn my lifelong passion for dogs into a lifestyle business. My dog and I  look forward to welcoming you and your dogs into our home.

Induction Process
My focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of small companion dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.3 – Eight hour day (or) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable.

Before Booking

Your dog should be at least one year old.
Please ensure your dog is housetrained.
Proof of being neutered / spayed.
Proof of annual vaccinations including kennel cough.

You Provide

Dog food that your dog normally eats.
Lead, collar/harness with ID tag.
You are encouraged to bring your dog’s bedding and favoured toys to ensure your dog feels at home.
Any necessary medicines and instructions.


During Your Dog's Stay

Lap of Luxury tags with our phone number attached to collar while in our care.
Daily pictures and updates.
Facetime/Whatsapp video calls with your dog when boarding.
Minimum of two 20-minute walks per day (or equivalent active playing in garden) during an eight-hour day care session; a third walk (or equivalent) per 24-hour stay in local parks and woodlands.
'Lead-always-on' policy during walks.
Coat brushed, paws, ears and eyes checked and cleaned daily.
Hills hypoallergenic treats and dried sprats (fish) provided with your permission.

Welcome to my profile for my family orientated paws playdays &amp; boarding service.  
Our aim is to provide a calm and loving home from home environment for our Day Care &amp; Boarding clients.  We have a strong desire to provide a professional, first class service to you and your doggie and focus on our core values of TRUST, RELIABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT &amp; HONESTY.  Due to the nature of this being a ‘home from home’ experience, numbers are limited as your doggie will form part of our family (no children) and spend their time in our home and large garden, whilst also enjoying long walks close by.  
Day Care is provided as a Monday to Friday service, giving your dog plenty of company &amp; interaction all day with other great doggies and us humans too!  
Priority booking confirmation for Boarding dates is given for clients that have regular Day Care bookings from Monday – Friday, subject to sufficient notice being given.
During their time with us, they will enjoy 2 long walks per full day where they will be interacting with their Paws Playdays pals, having fun and receiving the much needed exercise they require. We will always ensure that your dog receives individual attention so they feel loved, safe &amp; secure.  Due to the excellent location, walks can be taken in areas where paths are mostly pedestrianised leading straight onto various fields and walks.
We offer a free, no obligation meeting in advance of any of our services which provides us all with an opportunity to get to know one another.  It’s important to us that you feel confident about the services and care we provide and we need to ensure your dog is a good fit with the other doggies within the small group – it’s all about them having fun in a positive, relaxed and calm environment with their pals.
We will send you regular pictures and provide updates on how your doggie is doing, but due to the recent rise in pet theft, we do not openly advertise the dogs within our care or daily activities on social media.
Collection / Drop Off Times:
•     Collection between 8.30am – 9.30am
•     Drop Off between 3.30pm – 4.30pm
