We believe every animal deserves someone who loves him or her. They are always there for us, and that’s is why we decided to be there for them. For the past five years we are a family for our French Bulldog Bogdan; loving and playful companion. As a owners of quite stubborn breed we have great knowledge and responsible approach when looking after dogs. Bogdan get along very well with small and medium size dogs therefore we are able to look after dogs within those sizes. 

We provide the following services: dog day care in our home or owner home, night boarding in our home, dog walking, pick up and drop off at additional cost.

Our home is situated in St Albans - top floor 2 bedroom room penthouse with lift and secure balcony. There are many parks around us making it easier to walk and exercise the pets regularly.

We board 1-2 small to medium dogs at a time and dogs who are trained to toilet outside. There's always someone at home, either me or my husband so your pet will never be left alone. We don't have any young children in the house so your dog will get our undivided attention 
We provide 1-2 long walks in a day depending on the needs of the dog so we are very flexible.

Hi, I am Emsu. I love dogs and find spending time with them an absolute joy! I am also a dog mum to a gorgeous 4-year-old Bichon Frise named Daisy. She is friendly, fun and loves company - both humans and animals.&nbsp;
About our home: My family and I (husband and daughter) are based in Totteridge &amp; Whetstone. We live in a house with a fenced back garden on a quiet neighbourhood and large green play area just outside our front door. Our neighbourhood has a ‘’doggie corner’' - a large closed gated area where dogs can run and fetch freely. There are plenty of parks and massive green fields nearby. I keep pets on leash in non-gated areas and avoid all risks!
I usually accept one guest pet at a time so they'll have my full attention and care! This means I can continue your pets usual routine preventing any extra stress. I do not leave dogs unattended at any time.
Services I offer: 
- I do dog day care, overnight boarding and daily walks. I am home-based, so I will be with your precious pet all day (24/7) to accommodate their needs. I am happy to continue your walk schedule.&nbsp;
- Guest pets are allowed in all rooms in the house and they'll be let in the garden every hour for fresh air/toilet needs and playtime.
- I will administer any medicine orally and give guest pets paw wash/eye cleansing based on your preference.&nbsp;
- I will send pictures and videos daily and will offer exceptional services and loads of love for your pet while you are away.&nbsp;
Please bring your pet's preferred bedding, food and any special snacks or medicine.&nbsp;

My motivation to be a pet sitter is that I love being around animals. I have 1 puppy, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 hamsters and 2 guinea pigs. I have always been around dogs whether that's family members dogs or friends dogs. As long as your pets are good with cats which is essential then its usually a green light. Due to my current pets I do only accept vaccinated pets due to the safety of my current pets. I am a wheelchair user but that doesn't stop my love for animals. I have always loved pets and I'm looking forward to start as a pet sitter. I understand that individual pets have different needs and diets and I will always research them particularly needs and diets and ask you if I have any questions. Lap of Luxury is a local, independent company, based in Amersham, specialising in the provision of boutique day and overnight care for your beloved companions. We provide a range of services designed to make your dog as happy, stimulated and comfortable as possible. 
We focus on gentle socialisation and playing, with many young dogs not having been able to socialise enough during Covid lockdowns. If you continue to work from home, it can be helpful for your dog to have a change of scenery and to meet new people and play with different dogs in a safe and well-supervised environment.

Induction Process
My focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of small companion dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.3 – Eight hour day (or) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable.

Before Booking

Your dog should be at least one year old.
Please ensure your dog is housetrained.
Proof of being neutered / spayed.
Proof of annual vaccinations including kennel cough.

You Provide

Dog food that your dog normally eats.
Lead, collar/harness with ID tag.
You are encouraged to bring your dog’s bedding and favoured toys to ensure your dog feels at home.
Any necessary medicines and instructions.


During Your Dog's Stay

Lap of Luxury tags with our phone number attached to collar while in our care.
Daily pictures and updates.
Facetime/Whatsapp video calls with your dog when boarding.
Minimum of two 20-minute walks per day (or equivalent active playing in garden) during an eight-hour day care session; a third walk (or equivalent) per 24-hour stay in local parks and woodlands.
'Lead-always-on' policy during walks.
Coat brushed, paws, ears and eyes checked and cleaned daily.
Hills hypoallergenic treats and dried sprats (fish) provided with your permission.

I'm 28 and currently living in London with 5 years of dog-walking and sitting experience.
Growing up I've always been around animals but especially dogs. Each year my love for animals grew stronger so I started walking dogs other than my own (Kobi, my 14-year-old Staffordshire bullterrier) and eventually walked 6-8 dogs a day. 
Being around all of those dogs brought me great joy, each one of them has a different personality and learning what each of them likes, wants and needs makes the time spent with them all the more rewarding.
Socializing dogs and caring for pets of all kinds, with differing personalities, is an incredibly rewarding experience. I have personally witnessed and helped guide nervous and shy dogs to become more confident, happy, and even playful, dogs. Whether you prefer your pet to be looked after at your home or mine, with or without other pets around, I am more than happy to accommodate your needs.&nbsp;
I can assure you that Kobi, who is a gentle and kind dog, will be more than happy to welcome your pet, and has even helped teach younger dogs with his patience. I have two homes where I can sit your pet, one in West Kensington, which is pet-free, and the other in Colindale, where Kobi lives.
