Hi there, I’m Steve.
I’m a big old animal softy! I love all animals and have been, and continue to be, a pet owner. I have dogs and a cat and love my time with them. I share custody of my dogs with my ex-wife and the house is too quiet and dog free on the weeks I don’t have them. Also, I miss my long walks and exercise. What better way to fill the gap than provide walking, sitting, feeding and general care to other people’s pets in my extra time?!
Apart from the fact that I have owned several dogs and cats (and other animals!) over the years, I do have walking and sitting experience, but it goes without saying, if I look after your pet, they will be spoiled rotten!
When your pet stays with us they will have the run of the house and garden, they will be fed as per your instructions, any medication/treatments administered and we'll play and relax together regularly. They will never be left on their own. We average around 2 miles per walk and they will have at least one of those per day. During our availability times, we'll take 2 dogs maximum here, but we can discuss this in detail during any contact that we have. If your pet stays with us overnight, they will sleep with us in our bedroom. Or wherever you request that they sleep. It will truly be a home from home.
Our home is bright and airy and a great space for pets. My partner and I live alone here. The garden is large and secure and they will have access to that regularly, as well as access to water at all times.

I have over 25 years of experience caring for dogs, small, medium and large breeds. I adore all animals and would treat your pet with the same love and affection as I would if he/she was my own. My love of dogs developed when I was very young and I used to watch my dad care for and train his working Police dogs. There are plenty of walks on my doorstep including a large field directly outside. I hold a full-time job however my hours are flexible and I can work from home. I can assist any evenings, weekends or overnight stays. Daytime or holiday care will be considered depending on my workload.

It is a daunting experience to leave your beloved pet with a complete stranger however please be assured your furbaby will be in good hands.
Please note I haven't ticked 'large breed' purely for the reason I may not be able to provide transport for them however I am happy to help with any size of dog if you are able to drop off/pick up any very large breeds of dog. Comfort is of the utmost importance, some dogs find traveling in a car nerve-wracking so I wouldn't like to put a Great Dane in the back of my Ford Focus!

dog walking- I walk my dog in the morning (45 mins) and in the afternoon (30 mins) in the countryside around Wargrave. I would ensure your dog is kept on the lead at all times. Ideally you would drop your dog off with me, otherwise I could pick up within 5 miles of Wargrave.&nbsp;
dog sitting in my home- your dog would sleep downstairs and would have access to the downstairs of the house as well as the enclosed garden. I would be present at all times.&nbsp;

Both my husband and I are dog lovers. We have a cockapoo called Ruby she is 3yrs 8months She is not yet spayed. Ruby had a planned litter last year so we have had time out from having pet house guests. Ruby is now back to her usual hospitable self and enjoys having a friend to play with.We have owned a dog most of our lives. We had an Irish Terrier from puppy who we lost when nearly 15yrs. We were lost without her. Several months later we decided to have another, then Ruby joined our family at 8 weeks. She is adorable, sociable and playful. She is a big part of our family. At home it’s just my husband and I, though we have 3 grandchildren 1yr, 5yrs and 7yrs who visit often and who absolutely adore her and Ruby adores them too, and very gentle with them.I work from home, and available to attend to the care of your precious pet weekdays and weekends. We do not allow Ruby in the bedrooms and she is very obedient. This is to allow my grandchildren and Ruby some time away from each other as children can be very full on!!Ruby always sleeps very soundly after a visit :)Our garden is well fenced and safe and allows for quick toilet relief. Surrounded by woodlands for many long walks and a few mins drive from Hughenden Park, and also like to drive to the coast. Of course that depends if your pooch is happy to travel in a car? If your pooch is nervous of traffic, main roads can easily be avoided as we live on a quiet road.I am comfortable to administer medication should your needs require..Our Ruby is sociable with other dogs and enjoys a good chase in the park. When in doors she loves playing with her squeaky toys and tug of war.I believe our pets deserve the best care possible and rest assured that your pooch will definitely be treated like one of our own, with lots of affection and attention.

I am 50 years of age I have had dogs for the last 25 years ranging from Great Dane , Mastiff to Bull Dogs I have house sat for Labradors, golden doodle, shutouts, jack Russell, border collie, German shepherd/border collie cross, a mongrel,a bull dog and French bull dog, daschund, Gordon Setter, cavapoo, cocker poo and a Rottweiler a variety of cats one being completely blind. I work in HR and work remotely so as long as I have an internet connection I can work anywhere 
I will love your pets like they were my own and shower them with loads of love and affection I love to go on long walks and have big furry cuddles this has become like my therapy where I go and look after peoples pets and love them and give them their home comforts. As long as my work allows I will walk dogs and if they have set routines where they meet up with furry friends I will try my hardest to ensure their routine is not affected.

Hi I'm Jade and I'm a human and animal Physiotherapist. For all my life I have been a horse and dog lover having owned and grown up around them from when I was born. We currently have two of our own furry friends who are very active and love being walked. Our eldest dog had a litter of puppies a year ago and over the last year we have had her puppies back to pet sit and have enjoyed every minute of it, so wanted to continue doing it more. Due to my job and my passion I have great experience with dogs learning to understand and handle them in both a vocational and professional capacity so your pet will be in safe hands. I also live with my husband, step son and daughter so they must be friendly with children and love fuss (youngest is 10 years old, so not a baby). Your dog would need to get on with ours and be happy to sleep in the kitchen with them. Open to having young dogs as use to puppies all the way through to the more elderly dog. Dogs must be fully wormed and vaccinated due to being around our own pets. Dogs will be walked daily and daily routine will be kept to as best as possible fitting in with our dogs and lives, feeding schedule, toileting etc. Dogs will be left for a couple of hours at a time where drop offs and activities trips are made so dogs that can't be left alone at all would not be suitable. Induction Process
My focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of small companion dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.3 – Eight hour day (or) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable.

Before Booking

Your dog should be at least one year old.
Please ensure your dog is housetrained.
Proof of being neutered / spayed.
Proof of annual vaccinations including kennel cough.

You Provide

Dog food that your dog normally eats.
Lead, collar/harness with ID tag.
You are encouraged to bring your dog’s bedding and favoured toys to ensure your dog feels at home.
Any necessary medicines and instructions.


During Your Dog's Stay

Lap of Luxury tags with our phone number attached to collar while in our care.
Daily pictures and updates.
Facetime/Whatsapp video calls with your dog when boarding.
Minimum of two 20-minute walks per day (or equivalent active playing in garden) during an eight-hour day care session; a third walk (or equivalent) per 24-hour stay in local parks and woodlands.
'Lead-always-on' policy during walks.
Coat brushed, paws, ears and eyes checked and cleaned daily.
Hills hypoallergenic treats and dried sprats (fish) provided with your permission.
