"Ella was amazing with our dogs while we were away. Ella looked after our house and dogs perfectly. The dogs loved her and had lots of cuddles. We received photos and updates regularly which was very reassuring everything was all good at home while we were away. Will definitely be booking Ella again."

"Absolutely fantastic dog sitter. Anna is friendly & reliable and our home was left absolutely immaculate after her staying to look after our 2 staffies over the Easter wekeend. The dogs loved her and we got regular updates while we were away. We have already booked again for another holiday and will look at a regular service with her too!"

"Joanne was fantastic, after stepping in when our previous sitter had to cancel. She was great with the dogs and kept us informed of any issues. She also looked after the garden and left the house in an immaculate condition. We will definitely use her again and we have no hesitation in recommending her. She's a star! "

"Trixie has been an absolute joy to have in our home to look after our family cat, Fudge. As an older pet, Fudge needs that extra care and attention that Trixie was able to provide by being at home with her. We received updates about how Fudge was, including a photo of her looking very happy, which was of great assurance to us whilst we were away. Trixie also left the house in an immaculate condition. We were delighted with Trixie’s care for Fudge, her conscientious attitude to her work and her overriding love for animals. We would have no hesitation in recommending Trixie to look after other people’s cherished pets, and to have a reliable, trustworthy person in your own home is a gift. Thank you, Trixie!"

"Rianna has been great from the first time I put a reservation request in, to the lovely note she left me on her last day at my house. Her communication was perfect, before and while I was away. She has taken great care of my very nervous cat and he was very relaxed when I got home. Rianna has also very much respected my property and left it immaculate. Big thanks Rianna."

"Chloe looked after my two kittens for 2 nights / 3 days whilst I was away. Chloe was absolutely wonderful with my kittens! She followed all instructions perfectly, kept them in their routine, and spent plenty of quality time with them playing together. It is the first time I’ve been away from home since they came into my life, so I was a little anxious - but Chloe made me feel at ease through regular updates and photos. It was lovely seeing how quickly they warmed to her - she has a real way with cats. She was also a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking - responsive, polite, and attended an initial meet and greet. I would thoroughly recommend Chloe when you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy sitter!"

"Marisa house‑sat for us over 10 days to look after our very scared and timid cat, Phoenix, and she was absolutely wonderful. Phoenix normally runs and hides under the bed whenever new people come into the house, but he warmed to Marisa surprisingly quickly and even ended up sleeping next to her — something we never imagined possible. For the first time in many years, we were able to go on holiday feeling relaxed and reassured, knowing he was in such gentle and patient hands. We’re genuinely grateful for the care she showed and wouldn’t hesitate to have her back again."

"Steph looked after our two cats very well when we were on holiday for a week. Great communication as I had requested to know how they were getting on. She left the house clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend and I will request for her to come and look after my cats again in the future. "

Pawshake also offers house sitting in

Why house sitting ?

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Basildon home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Basildon.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Basildon home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Pet owners book house sitting in Basildon on Pawshake. Over 411 pet owners in Basildon have left a review, with an average of 4.95/5. All paid safely using Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, American Express
