My name is Stefanie, and I'm a Brazilian who is deeply homesick for her family's four cats. I am currently in the UK, pursuing a master's degree in Business and Human Resources Management.
I was always a cat admirer. I adopted my first cat when I was 14 years old. It was called Billie Joe. He sadly passed away from kidney disease, which was a hard and long journey for all of us.
Now, we currently have four cats, each with their own individual and lovely personalities, and I miss them terribly. My motivation to be a pet sitter is to care for other owners' cats and show them the same love and dedication I show to my own cats at home.
My cats are all vaccinated, and they visit the veterinarian regularly. One of my cats developed arthrosis on his spine, so I had to medicate him twice a day with a pill for his pain. He is doing great now.&nbsp;
I've previously taken care of friends' cats while they were on vacation, and I had no issues. Since I genuinely enjoy spending time with cats, it wasn't a chore for me.&nbsp;

I love animals and would love to expand my little family however I'm not quite in the position to right now, so I'd love to help others take care of their animals in the meantime.&nbsp;
I'm very lucky to live near plenty of green space and have a car, so have the ability to be a little more flexible. I'm happy to hang out with your pet(s) for plenty of playtime, cuddles, walks, feeding/water, litter cleaning, home visits, administering oral medications, or just to be around to keep an eye on your pet for a peace of mind. Services offered
Dog walking: price is per hour, I can walk them around your place or anywhere your prefer (always on the leash unless there is a secured place somewhere you know).
Home visits: it's about 30 to 45 mins per drop-in visit&nbsp;
Home sitting 24h: I can be there for the whole night but during the day I can be there for about 6 to 8 hours. 
I do NOT offer an onboarding service for now (pets cannot stay at my place, I haven't got enough space).

I have several years experience in a veterinary practice and am a practising doctor. Before I started human medicine I worked in a busy London veterinary practice performing veterinary assistant duties including administering oral and injectable medications, specialised feeding, dental care, surgical assistance and assisting with general check ups for anything from cats and dogs to pigeons and goldfish. I've also done a secondment to the Blue Cross Animal Hospital where I looked after the inpatients and had an entertaining afternoon with some very lively ferrets.
I've always loved all animals indiscriminately! I have my own cat, and have lived with dogs of many shapes and sizes, including regular walkies. I've also done quite a lot of rabbit sitting for an elderly bunny on quite a few meds! 
I'm happy to provide residential pet care in your own home so you can holiday in peace knowing your furry friend is being looked after. Also happy to do visits within the London region.
As for why I'm doing this, a friend of mine (the bunny owner) recommended the app as she's a Pawshake regular. I've just come back to London from a year working at a hospital in Malawi, and have run out of money! I'm not starting full time medical work again until Feb '23 but have plenty of flexibility and free time so I thought why not?!
