I live in the country side with my 17 year old son and rescue dog Sherlock who is a rescue cross breed from Cyprus and very friendly with all dogs and people. I have loads of experience with dogs of my own in the past - retrievers, labs, collies and spaniels. I love having dogs around and have had dogs all my life and often helped friends and family with boarding as well. I work from home full time every week so dogs are never left alone and my availability is generally very good. 
I am happy to provide day care or overnight boarding. Can provide whatever walking your pet needs up to 1.5 hours per day on or off lead, and they will sleep with my dog having the run of the house downstairs. I only accept one dog at a time so they will be well cared for. I have a 6ft high fenced in back garden and access to miles of great walking in the country side and a very nearby secure dog field if your pet needs exercise but is not good with recall. Im happy to administer meds (oral only) as required.

After losing my much loved cat Pickle who lived to the great old age of 16, I would have loved to get another cat but sadly my son had developed a bad allergy. Some years on I still miss Pickle (and his brother Branston who we sadly lost as a kitten) and miss the chance to interact with cats. Recently, I have compensated by looking after a friend's cat in their home. Seeing how much I enjoyed playing, cuddling and caring for their cats and the way in which I bonded with Gus and Lola, they suggested I register on Pawshake! So here I am, offering genuine care for your cats in your home - whether that's drop-ins or stay overs! I have done one stay over where I looked after a gorgeous house cat and a labrador puppy (as I also do dogsitting too). Having retired, I am loving the chance to spend more time with cats and dogs - it is so therapeutic! Would love the chance to care for your precious pet. Availability: I am available morning, afternoon or early evening.
Services include feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning litter trays (if required), giving oral medication, cuddling and playing with your cat and sending you updates/photos. During home visits I would stay for an hour to interact with your cat and provide them with some company and care.&nbsp;
Whilst housesitting, I can water plants, take in mail and parcels, be in much of the day (if required). I can stay in your home for as long as you need me and will make sure it is secure if I need to leave and draw curtains or leave a light on if I am out to make sure it looks lived in.&nbsp;

I'm a retired home maintenance contractor, with time on my hands to now do something I love, which is being with animals. I adore dogs of all shapes and sizes, having two of my own back in the USA, Khloe a Great Dane and Lilly a Golden Retriever. Completing the trio of pets, is the boss of the house, my beautiful ginger cat Esme.
I'm unable to take pets in my apartment here, so home visits and 24hr house sitting, are the two areas I can help you with. I'm happy to care for animals of all types and have considerable experience with rabbits, both indoor and outdoor, having two magnificent New Zealand Reds, also back in the USA.
Being retired, I'm very flexible regarding times for home visits, trying my utmost to fit in around times that are best for you and your pets. My minimum for home visits is 30 minutes, during which time I will treat them as if they were my own pets, as well as following your instructions to the letter. I'm happy to carry out light grooming, administer non-injectable meds and attend to toilet duties, which includes cleaning up any little accidents, as well as changing litter trays. After that there will be play time. Any small household tasks will always be considered.
House sitting is, in my opinion, 24 hr care for your pets and your home. Although, I'm very happy to discuss any other options that you would prefer and thereby coming up with a plan that suits both you and your animals. I include walking your dogs twice a day during house sitting, but due to me being in my 60's, I would not feel comfortable doing any off lead exercise, nor walking any large breads that are not fully trained to heel.
Having been a home maintenance contractor for over 30 years, I am very used to being in clients homes unsupervised. Security is paramount and always on my mind when in your home and I like to draw up an agreed checklist in this regard. Also, because of my background, there will be no panic or emergency calls should any small household issues arise.
I do not want to make a full time living from this, I just wish to help alleviate the worry for both animals and their humans, when the time arises for them to be seperated from each other temporarily.
