My name is Christine I work as a Wildlife Ecologist for the central belt of Scotland. Based in Edinburgh. So I can often be found roaming the countryside, forests, coastlines and parks so I would have the best knowledge for places for your fur baby to explore. I also work a good proportion on of my time working from home with my 11 y/o springer spaniel, four Guinea pigs and husband. 
I currently am looking to build a small clientele of small animals (Guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, rats), dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes (experienced in all ages, behavioural needs etc). I offer home visits, stay overs at your home and pet walking to suit your pets needs and requirements. 
I have previously worked for paw shake between 2015-2022 and made so many fun, adventurous fur baby friends along the way who I am still in contact with today.

I grew up on a farm in the United States where I lovingly handled chickens, cats, dogs and horses. Whether that be mucking out the stalls so the horses had a comfortable bed to lay down in, making sure our boston terriers had plenty of outdoor time to exhaust their loving yet hyperactive batteries, or if anyone was sick to ensure that the babies got the proper treatment.
Being far away from the farm that I grew up on has left a lasting hole in my heart, one that was filled with fuzzy warm dogs that wanted to kiss me because they are filled with love. Filled with the spurts of dopamine I would receive whenever I came home, greeted by the energetic excitement of the animals. Filled with a sense of parental love as I became a voice for them because they do not have one.
This is why I wish to become a sitter, because I miss my animals back home and want to extend my love for them to your pets. Growing up on a farm throughout my 30 years of being on it has offered me the privelege of taking care of 6 cats and 12 dogs. This meant I was responsible for walking, washing, training and feeding every one of them. This care extended to the slightly larger meadow puppies who weighed closer to 600 kg and were used for horseback riding. My experience in taking care of animals is vast as it has always been matched with my sincere love for them.&nbsp;
I take any and all animals, does not matter. Any chance I can get to see their tail wag, hear their bark, scratch their coat or throw their ball I will take it.&nbsp;

Hi there! My lifelong adoration for animals has been an integral part of my journey. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of caring for two remarkable cats, one of whom required special attention and medical care, including administering injections – a responsibility I willingly shouldered. At present, I share my abode with an adorable rat, adding a unique and delightful dynamic to my animal-loving household.
Regrettably, my cherished pets currently reside with my mother in Ukraine, creating a palpable sense of longing for their companionship. Despite the physical distance, my passion for animals remains unwavering. I moved to Edinburgh from New Zealand in 2022 and have been really missing animals as I'm not allowed a pet in my flat. I used pawshake to help save up for my move back in New Zealand for six months before I moved here. I really enjoyed meeting new people and pets and getting to form a bond with the ones I saw regularly. I'm looking to get back into it so I can pat some cute dogs on the regular.&nbsp;I grew up with cats in my home but have looked after lots of different kinds of dogs through this app. Once I get a place of my own I'd love to get a daschund one day.&nbsp;I am based in EH7, close to Easter Road and Meadowbank. I grew up always surrounded by pets at home and we had several dogs which were my best friends. I recently was a proud dog mum to two lovely but sometimes a little naughty rescue greyhounds! Sadly we lost them both in their old age earlier this year. I am not in a position to adopt again at the moment, but am missing the happiness and joy dogs can bring to our lives. I have experience with anxious and needy dogs, as well as dogs who are not happy around other dogs, people or other pets. I am understanding, patient and caring and understand that all dogs are different and have their own quirks and funny personalities. I have carried out training with my own dogs, including basic commands but also helping with some behavioural issues and would be able to offer some of this experience to training. I'd be happy also to do some basic dog maintenance e.g brushing fur and teeth. I will get to know your dog and your requirements, and could house sit overnight at weekends, or bank holidays if needed. I would be able to also some basic house chores like watering the plants if I'll be there anyway, and would spend time with your day giving them plenty of fuss!
My availabilty for dog walking would primarily be weekends in the day or weekday evenings as I do work Monday to Friday, usually in the office. On the weekend, or weekday evenings I can dog sit or walk your dog, and will only take on one dog at at time (unless from the same family), so your dog would have my undivided attention (as it should be!).&nbsp;
I am based in the NewTown/Stockbridge area of Edinburgh so at the moment would be available for only fairly local dogs - but happy to meet more! Walks would mostly be short walks around the city, but if your dog needs longer walks we could go further to Inverleith Park or near you and do some running around and play fetch etc.&nbsp;

I'm a massive animal lover available for dog walking around Granton, Trinity and Leith areas. I've always had dogs and cats growing up and I really enjoy their company. I’ve spent time volunteering in DSPCA (RSPCA in Ireland) and Dogstrust so I’m familar with different dog breeds, sizes and personalities. I took a dog training course a few years ago where we learned various dog training techniques.

 I’m veterinary technician graduate with biology master’s. I have job experience in pet hospital and private veterinary. I grew up with animals and I have experience with vast majority of pets. I love them they love me back.
I’m currently working home office as self employed data analyst, they won’t be alone. Don’t have much in my plate right now. So i’ve time for a furry fella. My Labrador passed away 2 years ago and I miss him everyday. After long years of companionship I got used to have a friend around me. Meeting new dogs and spending time with them really helps.
I live 2 minutes to The Meadows and it is perfect for dog walking I love it here. If I'm walking with a friendly social dog, it gives the opportunity to meet other dogs, say hi and play a little and if I'm walking with a dog who is nervous around other dogs/people there are paths to avoid other dogs and crowd so they can just walk and relax. The Meadows is big enough for everybody. 
Keeping the same routine is essential for dogs. I will follow their routine while getting to know them. It’s all about communication once we start they will tell me what they need and what they want.     

Dog and cat lover with attention to detail. I always make sure every pet is happy and confident in its surroundings and make sure body language is observed in particular with difficult or shy dogs. I have been walking neighbours' dogs and many dogs on various dog shelters for over a decade and grew up with all sorts of animals on the countryside and now live right on the beach with a small enclosed grass area right on the beach to allow any furry creatures a good time on the beach or enjoying just a ball chase or just running around in the paddock.
