"Simon is fabulous, he took great care of our six dogs and our home. When we came back the house was spotless. And more importantly, he followed all of our instructions including watching our dogs eat to make sure they didn’t choke and keeping the house safe with the alarm system and he also walked two dogs a day separately as requested to ensure their safety around off lead big dogs and other unexpected things. He updated us often (every day which was very appreciated) and was always to the point and clear and reassuring which was appreciated during our busy holidays. Simon’s attention to detail is brilliant and, saying this as someone who used to be an experienced pet sitter myself, you will struggle to find someone as good as him! "

"Bella did an amazing job looking after Buddy and Snowball, including wonderful outings and wild walks for Buddy and dealing with an unexpected injury which meant a visit to the vets and after care / giving meds etc for Snowball. All handled with confidence and ease. Bella sent some lovely pics and regular updates so I felt reassured the whole time I was away. I would recommend Bella without hesitation…thank you for taking care of the house and my pets 🤩"

"Audrey did a fantastic job looking after our dog, Pip. Throughout the stay she kept us updated with plenty of photos, and it was clear Pip was having a wonderful time, getting lots of attention, walks, and care. What really stood out was how much Audrey went above and beyond. When we returned home, the house was absolutely immaculate—honestly cleaner and tidier than when we left. She had even washed the sheets and towels she had used and hung everything up to dry, which was completely unexpected and hugely appreciated. Audrey was reliable, thoughtful, and clearly cares deeply about the pets she looks after. We wouldn't hesitate to use her again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. "

"Matt sat for us for 5 days recently whilst we were on holiday and it was a very positive experience. Matt came to the home prior to the sit to meet us and Ozzy and to set out expectations of the sit. Matt communicated through the sit giving us updates and pictures and was respectful of our home, leaving it clean and tidy on his departure. Matt left us a small painting of Ozzy he had done during his sit which was an unexpected and very thoughtful gift! Would recommend Matt as a trustworthy sitter! "

"Amber looked after our two dogs for 12 days while we were on holiday. She kept us updated with pictures and how they were getting on. One of our dogs is on medication and she kept on top of that and our other dog has to eat in a high chair because of an illness and she did everything as we had asked of her! She was very good with both dogs and we would definitely use her services again! Thank you Amber ☺️ "

"I would definitely recommend Holly! She was able to help with a last-minute booking and still made time to come for a meet and greet beforehand, which was really reassuring. She took great care of all my pets and kept me regularly updated with messages and photos while I was away. It was lovely knowing they were happy and well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and would highly recommend her to others. 🐾❤️"

"Georgie was a fantastic sitter for our dog. We left Georgie with a young (under 1) energetic girl for 7 days and upon our return the house was clean and the dog was happy. We received regular correspondence and we needed not to worry about anything. I would definitely recommend Georgie and I will be in touch with her when we arrange our next holiday. 5 stars!"

Pawshake also offers house sitting in

Why house sitting ?

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Wombwell home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Wombwell.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Wombwell home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Pet owners book house sitting in Wombwell on Pawshake. Over 413 pet owners in Wombwell have left a review, with an average of 4.98/5. All paid safely using Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, American Express
