About Megan
Hi, I’m Meg, I am a massive animal lover and I specialise in animal behaviour, training and welfare. I have always grown up around dogs and cats and have years of experience dog walking, sitting and training. I have done numerous related courses as well as having an animal behaviour and welfare degree. I am currently full time assistant manager at a pet store, I usually have a day off in the week and one weekend day off ( this varies depending on my rota), which is when I would like to have a little four legged companion to have enriching walks with. In the near future, I hope to have some more free time where I could provide more availability then.
I’ve had cats my whole life and currently have three beautiful rescue boys of my own! 😻 I have experience working in a cattery and have cared for family and friends’ cats for many years. I understand that every cat has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
At the moment, I’m mainly focusing on house visits to fit around my current work rota. However, please feel free to message me if you require additional services, such as dog walks, and I’ll always try to accommodate where possible. My working hours will be changing from June 2026, so I expect to have more availability then.
During a house visit, I would greet your pet calmly and warmly to help them feel safe and at ease. I would check that their water is fresh and topped up, and if feeding is required, I can take care of that along with administering any oral medication they may need. If they are allowed outside, I would let them enjoy some time in the garden for sniffing and fresh air. I would also spend time providing companionship through play, cuddles, and gentle interaction to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for while you are away. Additionally, I can include basic training and enrichment games if requested to help keep them mentally stimulated.
For walks, I go beyond a standard walk. With a background in enrichment, I focus on incorporating mental stimulation alongside physical exercise. This can include engagement-based activities, scent work, and simple training or problem-solving games during the walk to make it more rewarding and fulfilling for the dog.
