My name is TJ and I am a huge animal lover! I have a very stressful job, so find my peace with pets - hence the name of my pet sitting company, Paws and Peace. I have two cats of my own who are quite elderly now and I have previously had dogs over the years, so I come with tons of experience, a lot of love and plenty of cuddles!

I operate Paws and Peace alongside my day job - I am a Civil Servant with no children and mainly work from home, which allows me plenty of flexibility to accomodate your pets needs. I was always looking after my friends' pets when they went away and one summer I was in so much demand, my best friend said "TJ, you should make this your business! You love doing it so why not?!" So I created Paws and Peace - an at home pet sitting service, covering the Bexley borough, Dartford, Plumstead, Woolwich and Charlton. I also provide cat pop-ins for our more independent furry friends!

I am fully insured and possess enhanced security clearance. I am reliable, trustworthy and will take care of your pets like my own. I always offer a pre-meet before to meet you and your pet and learn about their routine and needs - this is free of charge. I will also provide daily "pupdates" when taking care of your pets, so you can enjoy your holidays and be reassured that your pet is being well taken care of while you're away. I do drive, and like to take the dogs I care for to nice parks and wildlife reserves, but if there is anywhere your dog particularly likes or enjoys, or if your dog is not car confident, do let me know! I can also administer medication to your pets, so please don't let this be a blocker to your plans! For animals that rely on insulin or any topical medications, I ask that owners arrange a pre-meet to cover the time of administration, so that I can view your routine and how you administer. Every animal is different and not all medication is prescribed in the same way and I learn best by being shown. For oral medication, I am experienced in using pill administration tools and the age old method of hiding it! 

For cat pop-ins, I allow 45mins for each visit and will use that time to feed and interact with your cat and undertake any related chores, such as litter cleaning and changing, rubbish removal, bowl cleaning, cat grooming and medication administration when required. 

As I have my own cats who are indoors and elderly, it's imperative that they are kept safe and free of fleas and parasites. Therefore I ask all pet owners to confirm their animals and homes are flea-free and that they are up to date with their flea and worm treatment. 

I also ask that owners please leave their vet's contact details, and make their pet insurance documents available in case of any emergency. Please ensure that your vets are able (and willing) to take remote payment in the event of a vet visit. Please also be aware that, if you rely on the PDSA for your pets care, they will not assist me as they only support those who meet their eligibility criteria and cannot be used by pet sitters. You will need to register your pet with an alternative local vet.
