Hi, I'm Isobel – but everyone calls me Izzy!

I grew up in a home full of dogs and cats, and I've always loved being around animals. I'm trustworthy, reliable, friendly, and always have a smile on my face – my partner even says I have "golden retriever energy"!

Having owned pets myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone to care for them while you're away. Pets are family, and I believe they deserve the same love, attention, and routine that they receive from their owners.

Over the years, I've regularly helped family and friends by caring for their cats and dogs while they're away, and I genuinely enjoy every minute of it.

Growing up, I had a wonderful Border Terrier who loved countryside walks. Watching his personality develop over the years gave me a real appreciation for the unique character every dog has. I've also always been surrounded by cats and, as an adult, have owned three of my own. I love their independence, loyalty, and individual personalities.

Whether I'm caring for cats or dogs, I'm happy to follow your pet's usual feeding routine exactly as you prefer, ensuring they feel as settled and comfortable as possible. I also enjoy spending time playing with pets, providing enrichment, affection, and exercise to keep them happy while you're away.

I understand that not every pet is immediately confident around new people. I'm patient, calm, and happy to take things at their pace, allowing nervous or shy pets to build trust in a way that feels comfortable for them.

I'm available for cat feeding visits and dog walking. Visits are typically around 20–30 minutes, although I'm happy to be flexible depending on your pet's needs. As I work shifts, I have good weekday daytime availability and can often accommodate different schedules.

I'm confident caring for a wide variety of breeds and personalities through my own experience, as well as looking after pets for family and friends. My priority is always making sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while you're away, giving you complete peace of mind.

I am happy to provide updates and communicate as you require regarding how visits are going. In emergencies I am happy to discuss plans with owners to ensure appropriate knowledge prior to starting care for example registered vets, wanting contact etc.
I have experience in giving animal medication from previous pets. 
In regards to dog behaviours I have experience with nervous dogs to over excitable and on/off lead walking. I ensure I understand the dogs temperaments from owners prior to going on walks and understand strategies that may work for them e.g. if a nervous disposition choosing quiet walking routes
