I adore animals - having a flock of chickens and ducks is my dream, and on childhood farm visits, I was always to be found in the Chick House! I have lived with cats my whole life and kept my own birds (zebra finches) as a teenager.

My own cats I have reared from kittens - one of them an anxious semi-feral stray with complex health needs - up to their current ages of 15 and 17. Due to their chronic health conditions, my own cats are regular visitors to the vets, including for a number of potentially life-threatening situations, so I am well-versed in the process of getting a pet to the vet calmly and quickly under pressure. I also care for two neighbour's cats and have done regularly for the past few years, making twice daily visits when they're away (even dealing with some mice!)

I therefore have proven experience looking after cats of various ages and temperaments, including cats with complex health and medication requirements, and am able to follow detailed instructions about feeding, medication, play and your pet's environmental needs. 

I also volunteered at Vale Wildlife Hospital for a number of years, caring for a range of animals and birds including hedgehogs, squirrels, swifts and birds of prey. This included handling, feeding, cleaning out, weighing and helping with medication.

I offer petsitting services for cats and birds and am currently available every day. Visits are for 30 minutes, however can be made longer if needed for a small additional charge. When we meet for the first time, we'll go through all of your pet's needs, including any health issues, vet details and pet carriers. For extra peace of mind, I can also send a message/picture after each visit. I travel on foot so limit visits to locations close to my home.
