I’ve grown up surrounded by both cats and dogs, and animals have always been a natural part of my life. I currently share my home with a middle‑aged Anatolian Shepherd mix — a rescue from Turkey — who has her own history of trauma. Because of her journey, I’ve gained hands‑on experience supporting dogs who need patience, gentleness, and a slower pace to feel safe.

My partner and I have been dog sitting/bording for over 3 and half years and we absolutely love it!

I always go at each dog’s pace. My priority is creating a calm, reassuring environment where they feel secure, understood, and cared for. For this reason, and out of respect for my own rescue’s needs, I do not take on puppies.

What a Day of Dog Boarding Looks Like -

Hearty nature walks in quiet, open spaces

Playtime in the garden with plenty of enrichment

Mind‑stimulating games using tasty treats

A relaxed, home‑from‑home environment where dogs can settle comfortably

Dogs are welcome throughout the house, but at night we ask owners if they’re happy for their dog to sleep downstairs. Toilet‑trained dogs are preferred, though I understand that accidents can happen — especially with nervous or newly rehomed pups.

Because of my own dog’s trauma, we typically travel by car to fields or parks for walks. If your dog prefers road walks or doesn’t get along with cats, either myself or my partner will take them out separately to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.

Your dog may need to be on their own for short periods — usually around 1–2 hours — for everyday things like popping out to the shops or running quick errands. I always plan these moments carefully and keep them as minimal as possible.

I also understand that every dog is different, so this is something we can discuss together before the booking. I’m more than happy to tailor everything to your dog’s routine, comfort level, and any specific needs they may have. Their wellbeing always comes first.
