Hi there! I am Lily :) 

I am a reliable and hard working individual with a true passion for animal care. I may be new to pawshake but I have 5 years experience working in a kennels & Cattery, 6 years experience pet sitting & dog walking, and 1 year experience volunteering at a local wildlife sanctuary. If you decide to entrust me with your pets I can promise you they will be very well looked after and feel so loved while you're away. I think my biggest strength is my empathy and the ability to read animals. If I am caring for your pet I will care for them as if they were my own, and I love taking the time to get to know each pet and understand their individual needs. Whether that's taking your energetic dog on a long walk with plenty of fetch, or just sitting in the living room and gently talking to your nervous pet and letting them get to know me.

I grew up rescuing all sorts of animals. From little birds, horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs...you name it & my family & I have probably rescued it 😂. I couldn't imagine a life without animals and love making a difference, at one point when I was growing up we had 6 dogs, 4 cats and 4 ponies!

I have just finished my law degree at the university of Huddersfield, and now I have moved to Coventry with my boyfriend. We are currently living with his parents and saving up for our first house! We also adopted a 10 year old cat in our third year of uni called Tessa.

My boyfriend Jack and I do the house sitting jobs together as we have quite different working patterns, meaning your pets can have nearly constant attention. Jack also has a lot of animal care experience. He grew up fostering dogs and cats for the RSPCA, and regularly helps his dad out with caring for his parrots. However if your pet is nervous around men then I can of course do the job on my own.

I have a lot of experience administrating medication from my time working at the kennels, and have worked with all sizes of dogs. I also have experience in following strict diets and cleaning procedures. I also have a qualification from the Leeds animal welfare college in cat, dog and rabbit behaviour. 

My car is very well equipped for dog walking, with lots of treats, tennis balls, blankets, towels, a cooling mat, water bowls & a divider!

If I am ever faced with an emergency I would immediately take your pet to your chosen vet & of course call you when on my way. 

While you are away I will ensure to take lots of photos of your babies and keep you updated, and of course go on plenty of walks 🐾
