Hi! I’m Soph, 33 years old, and absolutely cherish any time spent with animals. I recently moved to Edinburgh after six years in Canada, where I was a professional dog walker for 4 years. Since 2022, I’ve been travelling in Québec, Ireland and Wales where I have been using TrustedHouseSitters and looking after dogs and cats in other people’s homes.

I’ve been caring for dogs since I was five. I grew up on a farm with six dogs, 2 cats and many farm animals. They have always been part of my life, and I can’t imagine being without them.

The services I offer:

🐾 Dog-walking
I work remotely for 12 hours a week, which makes my schedule very flexible. I usually go on 2 walks per day, depending on your dog’s needs. I love spending time outdoors with dogs — letting them sniff, explore, and run off-leash in safe areas (if you do so yourself). I am surrounded by hills so lots of great walking around me, and I have a car so I can easily pick-up if needed. I’m a calm and caring person, and dogs tend to feel at ease around me.

🏡 Staying with your pet in your home

I'm used to spending time with pets in their homes, and would be happy to care for them while you are away! I am happy to send my TrustedHouseSitters references should you need. Just ask!

A bit more about my experience:

I have experience with basic training and use only positive reinforcement.

I’m confident giving medications, including injections and eye drops.

I’m attentive to dogs with special needs or behavioural quirks (like leash reactivity or food sensitivities).

I'm comfortable walking and caring for dogs of all ages and sizes, from whippets and corgis to pitbulls, Great Danes, braques, shibas, labradors and senior pups needing extra care.

I’m also happy to care for cats, I grew up with two and absolutely love their company.
