Hi there :) My name is Julia, I'm 33, and I'm a big animal lover!

I have had animals in my life since I was very young, and my interest in training them (as well as caring for them) has greatly increased over the years. I have experience in looking after dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and horses. I have a particular interest in training dogs both in behaviour and agility. I have a good understanding in reading an animal’s body language and knowing how to respond to it, whether in the home or out on a walk.

I currently don't have a pet of my own but I do have a family dog which I helped train from a puppy who I often visit (the border collie in the photos).

I offer home visits, pet sitting, and dog walks (which can range from 30-60mins, dependant on the dog's needs). I am a very active person and enjoy walks in the countryside - you can be sure that your dog will have a lovely walk :) I also have experience in looking after unwell animals and giving medications, and I spent a week in a veterinary surgery for work experience.

I really enjoy looking after other people’s pets - it’s a privilege and a joy, and I treat them just as I would treat my own; with a lot of love, care, and respect. I understand the concern you may feel about being away from your beloved pets, so I'll be more than happy to send you photos and updates on how they're getting on.

I am based in the Meadowbank area of Edinburgh and at the moment can only take bookings nearby (within a 2 mile range) unless it's a house sit, so please only contact me if you stay nearby.

(Please note, there is a 19% Pawshake charge that is taken off my fee for every booking - I have included this in the pay rates).
