Me 🙋‍♂️ I am dog lover without a dog! I have always had dogs in my life through family and friends. I started doggy day care while working in a full time job. Never did I think I would be doing this FULL TIME just four years later. I have looked after dogs of all different sizes, ages and breeds. I have learned a great deal about dog psychology and have an excellent track record of matching dogs who get on well with each other. I have witnessed many friendships formed here. I’m currently taking an accredited dog training course and learning more as each day passes. During lockdown I worked from home and nearly every day of the week I was looking after a dog. Including Leo, who I have been looking after since he was 6 months old.! He is now 5, very accustomed to life at kamals and has built up lots of friendships with the dogs that have come here. I am fully licensed with Edinburgh city council, first aid trained, have liability insurance and live in close proximity to a vet who I am registered with and never had to use!! I have had the luxury of having some really friendly dogs who can’t wait to see which one of their pals is here when they are visiting. Home 🏡 I have an extremely dog proof home, in a basement of a tenement building. There are dog beds in every room, along with water, and enough toys/balls/chew sticks to keep your dog entertained Your dog will be able to roam my house (if you allow) and also have access to all the furniture. The kitchen doors will remain closed of course. There is a window seat in the living room perfect for squirrel watching. My enclosed garden is filled with balls, frisbees and sticks, and can be accessed via my window or through a back door. There is also a gate in the stair to prevent any escapees (not that they would want too). I live 5 mins away from Lochend park which Is amazing for dogs. Plenty of friends for your dog to play with. Hidden pathways and woodland areas for your dog to lead the way! Big grassy areas perfect for throwing the ball ⚽️ 🐾 There is a 5k railway pathway next to me perfect for off lead walking. This pathway can lead us to the beach if we want it too 🏝️ 🐾 In short, your dog will love it here. They are the focus of my attention and may not want to leave haha :) Availability 📅 I am available 24/7. My week is organised around the dogs who visit. A Typical Day 🏞️ 🏖️ Everyday is a weekend! There will be fun, games, sleeps and adventures. I can look after 6 dogs at any time and I am more than happy to assist with any medication Typical DayCare - Early morning fun and games until all the daycares arrive. Breakfast if needed. Introduce any new dogs to each other in the garden Short Morning walk to stretch the legs and continue the bonding and then back to mine Lunch for any who need it and then an afternoon adventure. Likely the beach, a park or Arthur seat There is plenty of toys and balls to keep your dog entertained if they aren’t napping by then. I can also work on any training exercises too. Boarding - Same as daycare plus a walk in the evening. They are welcome to sleep where ever they like (with your approval) and will be treated as part of the family. Joining me on adventures and days out. Piece Of Mind 📑 If your dog is boarding, you can be assured of at least 60mins of walking a day (logged on Strava). I can reduce this if needed of course. Daycare walks will be logged through the App. i will send plenty of videos and photos throughout their stay
