About Bonnie
My name is Bonnie and I have more than 30 years of experience in working with a variety of animals.
My career began with horses but over the years I have worked with and owned many different animals including chickens, sheep, pigs, llamas, cats and reptiles.
My own pets are my french bulldog, Edith who I adopted from a french bulldog rescue in June 2020, a blue tongued skink called Tia who has been with me since 2004 and my sheep, Dudley, who I hand reared in 2013 after his mum rejected him at birth.
I began my own business, Active Animal Pet Services in 2014 and since opening I have been lucky enough to have been entrusted with the care of some wonderful animals.
I understand that leaving your animals in the care of someone else is a difficult thing to do and I know how important it is to find someone you can trust.
I will always do everything I can to ensure that you are happy and confident in placing your animals into my care.
Each animal I look after is loved and cared for as if they were my own, I place a high emphasis on safety and I take pride in building a strong bond and friendship with the animals in my care.
I am insured by Protectivity, licensed by Wealden District Council, DBS checked and canine first aid trained.
I cover Hailsham and the surrounding area and offer a range of services:
Dog Walking - dogs are walked in small groups of no more than 4 dogs. Dogs are carefully matched for compatibility.
Dogs are walked on or off lead depending on owner's requirements. Walks are typically around an hour (excluding travel time) longer or shorter walks may be available by arrangement.
Dogs are always returned as clean and dry as practical.
Treats and poo bags included.
Available Monday - Friday, weekends by arrangement.
Dog Boarding & Day Care - I am licensed by the local coucil to provide day care and boarding in my own home.
CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW DOGS FOR BOARDING OR DAYCARE.
Dogs staying with me receive a minimum of 2 walks per day.
Dogs are allowed free access of my house and garden and sofa snugglers are welcome!
Dogs must come for a meet and greet with my own dog and then book a trial day before being accepted for a booking to ensure compatibility. Once this has been done, it is then usually possible for me to accept dogs even at short notice.
Pet Visits - these are suitable for any animal, whether it's a chicken whose eggs need collecting or a puppy needing a toilet break.
Visits are typically 30 minutes but can be longer by arrangement if required.
Availble most days.
I can provide excellent references upon request.
