About Grace

Hello! I'm Grace, and my life revolves around animal welfare. With my day job as a Veterinary Care Assistant, I bring a unique level of expertise and peace of mind to my cat sitting services.

As a proud cat parent to two adorable kitties, I know first-hand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets. One of my cats is FIV+ and has complex medical needs, so I’m deeply familiar with the unique personalities and requirements of cats, including those who need a little extra TLC. I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your beloved pets in someone else’s care, and I’m committed to easing your worries by providing reliable, compassionate, and attentive service.

While many cat sitters can feed and cuddle your feline friend, I provide professional-level care. I am trained to spot the subtle signs of illness, administer medication with precision, and understand feline behaviour from a clinical perspective. This means your cat is not just cared for, but truly looked after.

My passion extends beyond my day job; I'm currently completing my Masters in International Law, with a focus on environmental law and animal welfare, as I work towards my ultimate goal of opening a cat rescue.
When you book with me, you're not just hiring a sitter; you're entrusting your beloved pet to a knowledgeable professional who will treat them with the same compassion and vigilance as I do my patients at the clinic.

My Service Includes:

- Medical Needs & Medication: I am fully experienced and confident in administering a wide range of medications, including pills, liquids, and insulin injections. I have a particular passion for caring for elderly cats and those with ongoing medical conditions, providing the patience and expertise they require.

- Behavioural Insight: I understand that not all cats are immediately friendly. I am skilled in reading subtle body language cues to ensure shy or nervous cats feel safe and secure, building trust at their own pace.

- 30-Minute Minimum Visits: Plenty of time for play, cuddles, and proper monitoring of your cat's well-being.

- Daily Clinic-Style Updates: After each visit, you’ll receive photos plus a wellness check covering mood, appetite, behaviour, and litter box habits. I also maintain a hospital-style monitoring chart for your cat, giving you a clear, ongoing record of their health and routine.

- Welcome Pack & Behaviour Questionnaire: Before I start, you’ll get a welcome pack including a detailed questionnaire about your cat’s behaviour, likes, dislikes, and daily rhythms. This means no guesswork: your cat gets consistent, personalised care from day one.

- Custom Medical Monitoring (for cats with health conditions): If your cat has a medical issue, I create a tailored symptoms monitoring checklist and complete it every single visit. You’ll receive the same kind of structured observation I provide in a clinical setting, giving you total peace of mind while you’re away.

- Home Security & Comfort: I'll water plants, collect mail, and open/close curtains and turn lights on/off to give your home a lived-in look.

- Security: Keys are stored securely in a heavy-duty key safe between visits.

- Prepared for Anything: I always carry a fully-stocked cat first aid kit to every visit.

- Complimentary "Welcome Home" Service for Long Stays: For bookings over one week, I include a complimentary service to make your return easier. This includes a deep clean and disinfect of the litter tray, a quick clean and hoover of the main areas used by your cat, and taking out the bins. I'll even turn your heating on ready for your arrival!

- Accessible Pricing: I believe everyone deserves peace of mind about their pet's care. I am committed to offering reduced-price cat sitting for those living in council housing or on benefits. Please inquire for details.
