My name is Demika Traicos, and I'm a London-based creative freelancer with a lifelong passion for animal care. Thanks to the flexibility of my remote work, I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I look after.

I grew up in South Africa with a mother who was heavily involved in pet rescue and wildlife rehabilitation, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Over the years I've looked after a wide variety of animals, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, squirrels, sugar gliders, chickens, fish, parrots, and budgies.

I have experience raising kittens and puppies, caring for senior and rescue animals with different temperaments, and worked part-time as a dog walker while at university, as well as volunteering at a dog kennel.

For the past two years, I've worked as a professional pet sitter, providing overnight and extended house sits. My day-to-day care includes walking, feeding, administering medication, cleaning up after pets, giving them plenty of playtime and affection, and keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages. I'm also comfortable handling emergencies and vet visits if needed.

I understand how important it is for pets to stay happy and relaxed in their own home, and I always treat every animal in my care as if they were my own.
