Growing up I spent my childhood always wanting a family dog. For some reason my parents didn't want to provide me with a four legged sibling. It wasn't until my brother and I had left home and moved to our own places when my parents decided to adopt a rescue dog from Romania. This just about made up for the years without her in the family. 

Now I'm proud to say I'm her second favourite person (first being my dad). Whenever my parents travel, I'm on full-time duty, sticking religiously to her routine, from meal times to walk schedules because I know the importance of sticking to their routine. Whilst I've definitely helped her master sit, stay and walking on a lead nicely, the concept of fetch is still a mystery to her and maybe one day she'll become a pro at it.

My favourite part about looking after your dog is getting out and about. I love exploring the local area on foot, hunting down green spaces, parks, and quiet trails as there's nothing better than discovering a new spot with a four-legged friend by my side. Your dog won't just get a sitter who watches the clock; they'll get real walks, fresh air, and plenty of sniffing time in some of the best spots nearby.
