I am a 21-year-old from New Zealand and a British citizen, thanks to my parents! My love for pets is more than just enjoying their company, pets to me are essential as they bring so much joy and comfort to everyone. I am the type of person that sees a dog down the street and will go up and ask if I can pat the dog. Sometimes I think I'm more of a pet person than a people person!

Growing up with three chihuahua's means I am very experienced with energetic, high maintenance dogs! I’ve also had two cats growing up who loved to bring me “fishy presents” so I am also used to mischievous pets and can handle cleaning up pet messes.

I have volunteered for a dog shelter in New Zealand, helping with newborn pups preparing to go into foster care. This brings so much joy to me as these pups are only about a month old and it’s so beautiful to be able to help them and insure they get a good chance at life. When I was 7 I saved up my pocket money and donated it to the SPCA, months of work only added up to be $18 but the spirit was there!

I now only have two chihuahua's which I will be leaving back home with my parents so I understand how hard it is to leave your fur babies even for a few hours! Sadly, I lost my oldest chihuahua, Chalala, two years ago. I practically grew up with her as I had her from age 5. She was my world so I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone that will treat them as their own. Your pet's comfort and happiness is the number 1 priority, so I will treat your pet how I would want someone to look after my own fur babies.

I love walks, so I'm happy to take your dog out for a long walk or a quick stroll. I will also stick to any routine your dog may have if that makes them most comfortable. I also would be happy to play with your dog at a park or in its home environment!

I usually tailor walks to each dog’s needs, whether that’s a quick 20–30 minute stroll or a longer 60+ minute walk for more energetic dogs. 

I’m confident handling a range of behaviours, from excitable puppies to more anxious or reactive dogs, and always prioritise safety, patience, and positive reinforcement. 

During visits or house sits, I stick closely to your pet’s usual routine for feeding, walks, and playtime to keep them comfortable while they get to know me. 

I also make sure to keep you updated with regular messages, photos, and little check-ins so you feel reassured while you’re away!
