We’re a couple who both grew up in homes where pets were very much part of the family. Between us, we’ve spent years caring for a variety of breeds on both short and long stays. My family has a Vizsla, so I’m very used to high-energy dogs, structured routines, and dogs with specific medical needs, while my partner’s family has a Border Terrier who we regularly look after. Because of this, we’re very comfortable with dogs who have big personalities, lots of energy, or individual requirements.

We currently offer house sitting only (live-in care in your home). There will be someone available for your dog morning, afternoon, and evening, as my partner works from home full-time. This means your dog will have near round-the-clock company, stability, and care, while staying in their own familiar environment and routine.

Your dog’s wellbeing and usual habits will always come first. We tailor care to each dog and household, whether that’s walk schedules, feeding routines, playtime, or quiet companionship. We’re very happy to take dogs on walks suited to their needs, from shorter local walks to longer outings. We have a car, so we can access nearby large green spaces, parks, or quieter trails if that’s what your dog enjoys. We also enjoy incorporating dogs into calm daily activities, such as gentle mooches around an area or a relaxed afternoon pub visit, if that’s something they’re already used to and enjoy!

We are confident administering oral medication and following precise schedules. My family dog has epilepsy that’s managed through timed medication, so I’m experienced in giving medication carefully, making sure it’s swallowed properly, and sticking closely to instructions. While we don’t offer professional grooming services, we’re happy to help with general care such as brushing and can also take your dog to a groomer if needed.

During house sitting, your home will be treated with respect and care. We’re happy to help with watering plants, bringing in mail, keeping the house clean and tidy, and generally making sure everything is looked after while you’re away. My partner’s mum is a vet, and he’s grown up around animals with a strong focus on welfare, which really shapes how we approach pet care.

Our aim is to provide a calm, reliable presence in your home, making sure your dog feels comfortable, well cared for, and never short of company while you’re away!
