I am a lifelong animal lover and have grown up surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes, including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, sheep, chickens, horses, tortoises and fish. Many of the animals I grew up with had litters, so I am familiar with caring for animals throughout different stages of life, from newborns and energetic youngsters to older animals who need a gentler pace and more attentive care.

I am a psychotherapist and work from home around 50% of the time. I am naturally caring, calm, patient, observant and detail oriented. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, boundaries and way of communicating, and I take the time to help them feel safe and comfortable.

I offer pet sitting in the owner’s home and drop in visits. The length of each visit is flexible and can be agreed in advance based on the animal’s individual needs and usual routine. Visits can include feeding and fresh water, walks or toilet breaks, play and companionship, cleaning bowls and feeding areas, cleaning litter trays or enclosures, photo and written updates, and basic pet related household tasks as agreed with the owner.

I am comfortable administering tablets in food or treats, tablets given directly by mouth, liquid oral medication, topical creams or treatments, and eye or ear drops when clear instructions are provided.

I can care for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, small animals, reptiles, fish and farm animals, as well as older animals and those requiring medication. Depending on the animal and the dates required, I may also be able to provide care in my own home. I am available on many of my work from home days, as well as during evenings and weekends.

I do not currently have pets of my own because I sometimes travel for work, so pet sitting allows me to spend meaningful time with animals while giving owners thoughtful, attentive and dependable care.
