My partner William and I are a friendly, responsible couple who have both grown up around dogs and have always been the first point of contact for pet sitting among family and friends. Between us, we have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. We’ve regularly dog sat for family and friends, so we understand how important it is to keep pets happy, healthy, and feeling secure while their owners are away. We recently moved to London from New Zealand and really miss having furry companions around, which inspired us to start offering pet care through Pawshake.

I work from home 3–4 days a week, which means I’m able to provide plenty of attention, company, and supervision throughout the day for daycare and regular walks. William works as a labourer, but we coordinate our schedules carefully to ensure there is always someone available to care for and spend time with your dog. Together, we can offer a flexible and reliable routine tailored to your pet’s needs, including walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and any special care requirements.

We live in a safe and comfortable terraced house just two minutes from Battersea Park, giving us easy access to fantastic walking routes and plenty of outdoor space. We love getting outside and typically take dogs on walks ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on their age, energy level, and individual needs. For puppies, we’re happy to follow their training routines and provide shorter, more frequent walks and toilet breaks. For older dogs or those with special needs, we adapt our care accordingly and closely follow any instructions regarding medication, mobility support, or dietary requirements.

We understand that every dog is different. For nervous or shy dogs, we take a patient and gentle approach, allowing them to settle at their own pace and build trust in a calm environment. We pay close attention to body language and behaviour so we can ensure each dog feels comfortable, safe, and relaxed throughout their stay.

Our home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly, and we always prioritise safety and supervision. If we need to step out briefly, dogs are never left alone for extended periods, and we make sure they are settled, comfortable, and secure before we leave. We aim to maintain each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, rest, and any specific care instructions provided by their owners.

Most importantly, we genuinely love spending time with dogs and treat every pet as if they were our own. We take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs, and we provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured and connected while they’re away.
