Hi! My name is Alexandra and I'm a Canadian textile artist and student based in Bethnal Green. I have lived with cats my entire life - 35 years! - often in multi-cat households. I am experienced with kittens and elderly cats alike. In addition to feeding, watering, brushing, playing, and litter box maintenance, I am able to do nail-trimming (provided cat is receptive to this) and to administer medications like ear drops or insulin. My beloved Pixel, who passed in 2023 at 19, had recurring ear mites, and I cared for my family's diabetic cat Cinder for ten years.

Besides cats, I have also owned and/or cared for dogs, hamsters, rats, and fish. Though my current flat is too dark for many houseplants, I used to have over 50 in my Toronto apartment. I'm very happy to water and look after your plants, indoors and out, while visiting your pet.

While I am very experienced with cats and able to provide excellent care with good insticts and genuine compassion, I also make sure to follow owners’ instructions exactly. I’m a cat owner myself (Domino, aged 7, moved with my husband and I to London from Los Angeles) and frequent traveller, and know the anxiety of leaving your best friend for even a night; having to list out all the foods and plants that are toxic, and objects that are dangerous to leave around. I truly love cats and will treat any in my care as if they're my own. I am happy to meet with you and your pet before beginning the job to ensure we’re a perfect match.
