I have had lots of different pets growing up, my first ever was some fishes, afterwards I had my own hamster I had to look after, and since 2021 I have had a pet dog called Snoopy (a cavachon). I feed him, take him for walks, play games with him and clean up after him. I occasionally cat sit for my friends, and look after my neighbours dogs. I love animals alot, and in my free time I am lucky enough to have a farm accessible to me which I visit, to see and feed the animals. The services I am able to provide is that I can look after dogs or cats, take dogs for walks from 15 minutes up to an hour depending on preference of dog owner, or visit homes to feed pets (including dogs or cats). I am able to travel up to 10 miles from my location which is in East London, and my travel fees are paid for by myself. If a pet is ever unwell I will contact pet owner immediately. I usually walk dogs for around 30 minutes to ensure they have fun. Pets which are nervous, I am patient with them and wait for them to feel more comfortable around me instead of trying to get them to play with me immediately, which I find works. I will send updates every 30 minutes to pet owners, or if they prefer, an update when I arrive, an update when I have fed/walked the pet, and when I leave. However, it is up to the pet owner for when they want me to send updates. To ensure safety during dogwalks I will fo exactly as the dog owner asks me to do, and make sure I am constantly aware of my surroundings and looking at what the dog is doing. If there is a medication that a prt needs, I will follow exact instructions and give them their medication, for example if they are supposed to be given their medication with food, I will put the right amount of medication in their food. My current routine for looking after cats is going to the cat owners house, locking the door, giving them their food, and once they have eaten I just look after them and play with them for a while. My current routine when dog sitting is going to the house locking the door, get feces bags, keys and collar with lead, then leaving to walk them and locking the door, making sure they defecate before coming back, then ensuring they calm down and have water before leaving and locking the door. I am a university student so my availability will depend on my timetable which I recieve in September, however evenings, morning and weekends I am available regardless to care for pets.
