I have always had rescue cats. Growing up, I had Thomas, who was with me from being a kitten right through to his old age of 18. I currently have two cats, Alfie and Stefan, who are both 6 years old and have very different personalities! Stefan was completely feral when I got him, while Alfie was hand reared, so I have experience with cats who have very different needs, personalities and backgrounds.

Having two outdoor cats also means I’m very familiar with regular trips to the vets, worming and flea treatments, keeping an eye on their health and wellbeing, and, of course, picking up the presents Alfie likes to leave for me!

I have used Pawshake myself for Alfie and Stefan and thought it was time to help other cat parents in the area who want to go away while still allowing their cats to stay in their own home, surrounded by their usual smells, sounds and comforts.

I can offer one or two 30-minute house visits per day to look after your cats. During each visit I can:

Follow all feeding instructions, including special diets and medication where appropriate

Refresh food and water

Give treats

Empty and clean litter trays

Spend time playing with your cats

Give plenty of attention, affection and cuddles if they enjoy them

Visit multi-cat households

Keep you updated with photos and videos during every visit

I can administer medication to cats including tablets and liquids

I understand that every cat is different, and I’m happy to follow your individual instructions and routines to make sure your cats are as comfortable and settled as possible while you’re away.

I live in Perth and can cover surrounding areas of Perth and Kinross as I drive. I will always arrange a meet and greet with you and your cats before confirming a booking, so we can go through their routines, needs and anything else you would like me to know.
