Hi, I'm Andy. I'm an artist, sculptor and van-lifer. I'm a practising Buddhist (so taking special care of your pets and house is very good karma in my book :-). I’ve always been around animals, to me they are always family, and feel they add a particular joy and bliss to everything, and, for me as a Buddhist, they are the best teachers of being in the moment.

I’ve cared for and loved animals for over 30 years, including many dogs, cats, birds, chickens, hamsters and the odd goat and horse. I’ve also volunteered for animals charities over the years. I’ve experienced most situations and particular emotional and/or medical needs when it comes to animals, especially caring for older animals.

The reason I became a pet-sitter officially was so I could be with animals – as for me, travelling in a camper wasn’t an ideal place for a pet). So for the past five years as a sitter, I cared for pets in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, and across the UK. I am experienced, caring and compassionate. I love going on nature walks, being creative, reading, and enjoying the simple pleasures in life, mainly warm scones. I'm a non-smoker and drinker, and a lover of routine.

It’s very important to offer a calm and consistent environment for a pet. If the pet feels safe, happy, and cared for, you can build trust. It’s also very important to build trust with an owner, for peace of mind knowing that their loved pet is well looked after. I make sure any space is pet-proof and comfortable and remain consistent in established feeding and activity routine. I maintain constant supervision, especially if there are multiple pets. And, if required, I will happily offer updates about a pet's activities, behaviours, and well-being.

I'm my own boss, so I am very flexible and adaptable. Essentially my office, art studio and home is my camper van ‘Bella’. I am lover of routine, and, as part of Buddhist practice, I meditate and clean everyday.
