I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced dog owner, with a degree in Animal Science and previous professional experience working as an Animal Healthcare Assistant in a veterinary setting. I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs in my own home over the years.

I’m confident caring for dogs with different personalities and needs, and my previous experience means I’m attentive to their behaviour, wellbeing and all the little signs that tell you how an animal is feeling. I’m also comfortable discussing medication or additional care needs with owners and following their usual care instructions.

I work from home, so dogs staying with me have plenty of company throughout the day. They have regular toilet breaks, playtime, attention and walks. A typical walk is around 30–60 minutes depending on the individual dog’s age, energy levels and usual routine, and I have plenty of local residential walking routes and green spaces nearby.

My aim is to offer relaxed, home-from-home care where your dog is treated as part of the family. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks and sleeping arrangements, and I’ll send regular photos and updates while you’re away.

I keep things deliberately small-scale and only host 2 dogs so I can get to know the dogs staying with me properly and give them plenty of individual attention. As I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone, and I would always discuss this with you beforehand if I expected to need to leave them for over an hour.

I have my own dog, Ernie, so I always arrange a meet and greet before a first stay to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable together.
