Hi, my name is Emily and I am currently a student at Keele University studying psychology. I am really hoping to be able to take care of your lovely pets during summer holidays, Christmas holiday and Easter holidays. I will be home over summer from June 13th until I go back to University on the 1st of September, back over Christmas from around the 20th of December to the 20th of January and around during the last week of March into the middle of April. 

I currently have a 8 year old cavapoo called Ruby, who is just an absolute angel. Taking care of her has grown my love for animals, they really are just the best, theyre all so special and fun in their own ways and I am really hoping I can gain some experience with different types of pets. 

I am great at following instructions and would ensure I keep to the routine that your pet is used to. I would feed them at the appropriate times and the appropriate amount, I would take them on two to three walks a day for around 40 minutes to an hour depending on their size and age of course and I would ensure that they are stimulated through play with fetch or any of kind of toys they like. I would also make sure that your pet is cleaned when necessary or if instructed.

Usually I would take Ruby out in the morning for a nice long walk of around 40 minutes, during lunch for a shorter walk of maybe 15 minutes and at night for another 40 minutes. However, she is a little dog who is losing energy due to her age so of course I would adapt that routine to whatever your pet is used to. 

As someone who loves to photograph pets I would make sure to keep you updated with cute photos of your pet and would also ensure that everything is communicated to put you at ease. 

I have taken care of dogs and cats of family friends whilst babysitting where I have had to ensure that the dog was taken for a walk in the evening, that both pets were fed and also given lots of attention and tummy rubs. Furthermore, I have helped a friend in looking after a dog over night at the owners house where we walked, fed and played with him over the course of 2 days.

I have had little experience with nervous pets or pets that require medication but would be very willing to follow your instructions even more carefully in order to fully gain your pets trust. In any kind of emergency I would remain calm and then ensure that the vet is contacted first and make sure your pet is taken to the vet and then would call you immediately when they are in sage hands.
