Dear Pet Guardians.....

I am available for mid to long term in-your-home sits. I am a qualified, accredited, certified, insured dog trainer and behaviour consultant that has family in England. I was born in Surrey but travel often. I am available to care for your dog while spending time closer to my family. I have an excellent understanding of all behavioural concerns, and understand that if your dog cannot be left alone, that it is REAL. I can design a specialised separation anxiety protocol just for your family to get you started on the road to being able to leave your dog alone. The most important aspect of working through separation struggles is to first establish if it is bordem, frustration or an actual panic disorder. If it is a panic disorder the gold standard solution offered by professionals is very VERY short departures, very gradually building up time. This is time consuming, frustrating and often not possible for guardians due to life committments. I could get this started for you.

I easily read canine body language, and believe me when I say your pet WILL be safe with me. I am 1st aid trained, and only every use kind, science based methods to work with dogs. You could potentially leave for your travels with an anxious dog, and come home to one with vastly improved confidence and resillience. I basically offer an educated board and train service, but I prefer to call it "stay and learn" and your pet stays in their own home. I don't just change behaviours - I look at emotions that cause behaviours and adjust them. If you change the emotion that causes a behaviour, the behaviour changes on its own.

I can also work with dogs that are afraid of storms and fireworks. I will follow any requests you have, but always adapt walk times and enrichment to be appropriate for any dogs physical and emotional requirements - some like running, some prefer sniffing. If you dog cannot be left, I will not leave them - it is that simple. If they are ok for a couple of hours, I will go out and get food and return. Your pet is my only priority. I can easily take care of keeping the house and garden clean and always tidy up after myself. I will not leave items for your dog to chew, and fully understand just how important "puppy proofing" is!

I am not suggesting I can totally resolve all of your behaviour and training problems, but I could 100% start really solid groundwork for you :-) 

My typical day depends totally on what your dog needs. The only things I keep the same are I wake up when they do, and go straight out for their first toilet. And before I go to sleep, I ALWAYS make sure they get a last toilet outside. There is no such thing as "typical" as far as I am concerned - your pet will get what they need. I am happy (and actually prefer) to send your morning and evening updates via WhatsApp - everyone likes to know their pet is safe and well.
