About Grace
I'm Grace, an 18 year old animal lover who has grown up with a variety of pets (dogs, cats and different types of birds). Although I am young, I am currently the main carer of multiple animals, some of which have specialist needs, meaning that I am ready and informally qualified to suit your pets needs.
I can offer pet sitting, walking or drop ins throughout the week. If you employ me for dog sitting, I would recommend I come to you to keep animals comfortable in their own environment.
I am very keen to listen to pet parents about their animals needs, meaning that walks or check ins will differ from client to client as animal needs come first.
I try to adhere to training routines or routines that best suit the animals in my care; for example, keeping calm and slow movements if an animal is nervous, or extended walks for bigger, energetic animals. I don't really have a specific time for walks, I try to reflect the needs of the animals in my care; different animals have different needs.
I am happy to help with small chores, like getting the post or watering plants, and simple pet grooming tasks, for example, brushing or bathing pets.
For owners, I am able to update through photos and videos that show what their animals are up to. I can also keep lists of the activities we did throughout our time together. I will try to leave animal parents alone, unless they specifically request updates, however, emergencies do happen, so I may need to have direct contact such as a phone call. It would be helpful to know the name & number of an emergency contact for the animal or a vet just in case.
Preferably, I would love to care for dogs, cats, small animals, like hamsters or guinea pigs, and birds of any variety.
If I am being honest, depending on the needs or personalities of the animals in my care mean I can only look after a certain amount of animals at once. If an animal is calmer and does not need constant attention, I will be able to more easily split my attention between different animals and their needs. If there is a particularly needy or attention seeking animal, for their safety and best experience, I will only be able to look after one animal.
I have a lot of experience with animals and have had to meet specialist needs, meaning that I am equipped to meet specialist needs of the animals in my care. I am able to administer oral medications, but have no little training for other medications
I will be starting my English degree in September, meaning my availability my change as I recieve my timetable and gain personal responsibilities. Once my course begins, I will let everyone who has employed me know if there is a change in time. I may also have to reduce the amount of pets I interact with daily, but all will notified before changes. Until then, I am always available to anyone who requires my services.
