Hello!

I'm Freya (30 F) currently based near Wetherby in West Yorkshire. I have always been passionate about caring for animals and would be delighted to help you with your pet care needs!

I was fortunate enough to spend the last year working abroad in Canada, where I had my dream job at a doggy daycare centre! Now, I'm looking to offer pet-sitting services back in the UK. Simply put, I love animals and I will always care for them as if they were my very own!

You can find out a bit more about my pet care experience below:

• Most recently, I spent 9 months working at Cooper's Dog Cabin (Banff, AB) - a doggy daycare facility which also offered basic grooming services. Here, I was used to working with dogs in all shapes and sizes, energies, etc. and ensured our large group of dogs were carefully monitored whilst they played together.
• I've previously had several dog and cat-sitting jobs through Pawshake (both in the UK and Canada), including repeat clients.
• After university, I gained professional experience working as a Veterinary Care Assistant and Trainee Dog Groomer - hence I'm very comfortable around all animals, and I'm familiar with helping pets that made need extra attention and care (e.g. puppy/seniors, medication, allergies).
• I grew up looking after my own small pets (hamsters and gerbils), and raised our lovely black Labrador, who sadly passed away in 2024 at 14 years old.

For dog-walking and home visits (once or twice a day), I'm happy to travel anywhere within a reasonable distance of my house (10-15 miles). For pet-sitting with overnight stays, I am very happy to travel further afield within the UK. Please note, I work full-time from home Monday-Friday, so would require good internet access for any weekday stays.
