About Claire

I have owned dogs, cats and a variety of small animal all my life, I currently have Betsy, a two year old chihuahua and Pumpkin, my cat who only wants to come home for food!

I am 35 and live alone in a two bed house with an enclosed garden. I am a two minute walk from a playground but I prefer the 5 minute drive to Bassetlaw playing fields to walk around the farmers fields - as long as you are happy for me to take your dog in the car. I tend to go for a 30 minute walk in a morning, around the farmers fields around 2pm and then just a quick 15/20 minute walk in the evening before it gets too dark.

I had been thinking of getting a lodger for my second bedroom but as I love dogs more than people I thought dog boarding would be the perfect alternative :)

I would only board one dog at a time (or more from the same household) in the daytime they would be with me downstairs with access to the garden. Betsy keeps my parents company in the daytime until 2pm (Grandkid replacement!) To sleep, they will have their own room and if possible with their bed from home - I do have extras and blankets and pillows. If they get stressed or can't settle I tend to sleep in their room with them.

I used to be a Pet Care Assistant for around two years in a local vets and started training to become a nurse. Unfortunately, I had to leave which was heartbreaking but I have recently started an online course: Basics of Animal Care and Psychology.

Please provide own food, collar/harness lead, dog bed where possible and maybe a favourite toy. When we meet please let me know any allergies, any temperament details, best treat for bribery, normal routine and Vet details.

I am unable to look after any aggresive dogs.

I am happy to pick up and drop off but would need my petrol covered if more than 15 miles away.

I can provide as many photos and updates as you would like and will contact you if I have any worries (off food/not drinking etc.)
