🐾Veterinary background | 6 years in a small animal hospital | 5+ years of trusted pet boarding in the UK

Hi, I’m Rella!

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have 6 years of experience working in a small animal veterinary hospital in China, followed by more than 5 years of providing pet boarding and daycare in the UK through platforms such as Pawshake.

During the COVID lockdown, many pets were unable to return home, so I stayed at the veterinary hospital to care for them around the clock. Living and caring for multiple animals every day gave me extensive experience with different temperaments, routines and individual care needs. It also taught me how important patience, observation and consistency are in helping animals feel safe and comfortable.

I currently live with my 7½-year-old neutered German Shepherd, who moved to the UK with me from China in 2023. He grew up in the veterinary hospital where I worked, spending his early life surrounded by dogs, cats and many other small animals while meeting different owners every day. Because of this, he is exceptionally calm, gentle and well socialised. He enjoys the company of other animals and helps create a relaxed environment for visiting pets.

My home has a large, fully secure garden where dogs can safely run, play and relax. Whether your pet is young and energetic or prefers a quieter day, they’ll have plenty of space, supervision and attention throughout their stay.

I’m experienced in caring for puppies, senior pets and animals with different personalities. I’m happy to administer oral medications whenever needed and provide attentive, individual care for every pet. Although I don’t practise veterinary medicine in the UK, my professional background helps me notice when something doesn’t seem quite right, and I’ll always recommend seeking veterinary care if I have any concerns.

For me, pet boarding is about much more than providing food and walks. I want every pet to feel safe, relaxed and genuinely enjoy their stay. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
