I am a vet student studying at the University of Liverpool. I love animals and have several years of experience with all different species as well as knowing animal first aid and am able to administer injections. I have had a dog for the past nine years which I trained from being a puppy. This has promoted a love and interest into the behavioural side of things and I am hoping to do my literature review on the science behind companionship and behaviour in certain domestic species. As well as training my own dog, I also helped my best friend, who struggled with her reactive rescue. I loved the challenge and was round four times a week after school to train her. It was definitely a learning experience but it really taught me a lot and I really bonded with her. I am definitely her still her favourite! I am comfortable with all animals, big and small, having just done a placement at an aquarium where I was feeding and helping administer medication to otters among other exotic species and before that working on a local cattery and kennels. I have had experience pet sitting from a young age as my dad was allergic to most animals so my only access to pets was to pet sit! This included my neighbour's cats, my friend's dogs and even my auntie's rabbit!
