I own two rescue dogs. It has been an interesting journey to teach them proper behaviour and help them to overcome their fears. I believe understanding a body language of a dog is crucial to clear communication. I love to provide long, full of interesting smells walks in the woods, at the river for my own dogs, so I would do the same for your pooch as I understand how important is physical and mental stimulation for them.

I can take your dog to enclosed field and teach it a bit of agility or practice recall plus let them roam free at the end or use a long lead in the woods, park to let them explore, but at the same time make sure they are safe.

Any walk that allows for exploring different environments and smells will be beneficial for your dog, better than tones of treats and toys. However, if your dog also likes a bit of fetch or tug of war, I can include this in a walk:) whatever your dog likes, I think it is just best to discuss likes and dislikes and personalise the walks to your dog's needs :)
