I love animals and have done all my life. I started pet sitting other peoples pets when I was about 12! (under the close supervision of my parents). Since then I have looked after or owned pretty much most types of pet, from the more usual dogs, cats, hamsters and guineapigs, to lizards, stick insects and geese!! I love them all, they are an extension of the family and I know how important it is to have peace of mind when you're leaving your loved one in the care of someone else. 

At home there is myself, my partner Dave and our two boys 8 and 12 and we have Carla who is a 4 year old deaf pointer cross rescue from Cyprus. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, up to date with flea and worming and in good health. I regularly look after dogs that belong to friends and family and Carla is very happy to share her space and play with her new friends. She's good with all dogs, big or small. Because she is deaf she doesn't have great recall so she goes on group walks in an enclosed field twice per week and this has allowed her to socialise with all types of other dogs. We also have 6 chickens, they would always be shut away when we had dogs present but they are totally unphased by any any doggy visitors to their run. Dave works a hybrid role and I work from home most of the time while also studying so there is someone home all day. It's a real family home, lots of company and cuddles if your dog welcomes it and places to have their own space if they don't. The boys love the company of dogs but have been bought up to be respectful of a dogs space and not to be over excited around them. When we have dogs to stay I often find both boys sat playing their switches on the sofa with a dog curled up sleeping either side.

I want to offer a home from home experience if your pet is staying with us and we've got spare dog beds, crates, bowls, blankets and towels so you don't have to haul everything over if you don't want to. I will be lead by you and your pet to ensure their stay is relaxed and happy as possible. Carla sleeps on the sofas and is allowed upstairs. The only place we don't allow dogs is on the bed. We live near Dundridge park and Conham river park, both wonderful places for dogs to explore. When your pet is in my care I will keep you up to date with messages and pictures to let you know how your pet is getting on. 

I also offer daily or twice daily pet visits locally within a 2 mile radius of BS5 and I am happy to look after small pets such as hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, guineapigs, rabits, birds and lizards in our own home so they get the daily care and attention they need. 

I offer a free meet and greet session for any new dog so that both you and I can be happy and confident in booking a stay. If I am coming to visit your pet to take care of them I offer a free initial visit so you can meet me and show me the ropes. I am DBS checked and have a clean driving licence.
