"Emily did a brilliant job looking after our two dogs. She came to meet them before we confirmed the booking and again to take them for a walk, and they seemed to take to her calm nature immediately. She gave us regular daily updates, which really helped put our minds at ease while we were away, and she didn’t mind putting up with all their little habits!
We came home to two very happy and content doggies. We would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a dog sitter."

"Aileen was an absolute dream. She came round to the house before I went away to check that we would both be happy and I could tell instantly that she would be very good with the cats. The cats are actually still kittens and had only recently started going outside so I was a bit apprehensive about leaving them but Aileen was brilliant with them and made sure they came in at night and even saved one of them when he got stuck in my neighbour’s garden! 100% would recommend her and I will be booking her again next time I need a cat sitter! 10/10 "

"We'd had a hectic year and were looking forward to the summer holidays. However, the person who usually looks after our pets had started an apprenticeship, so wouldn't be able to help us.
Prices for someone to look after two dogs, two cats (one that needs medication) and a snake can be quite steep.
I decided to try Pawshake to find someone that would do homesitting, and after contacting a few people, Maria got back to me. We followed up with a visit and a booking.
Throughout our holidays, she sent me daily pictures of our pets, and even the most difficult ones warmed up to her, which is surprising, since they don't even get that close to me.
The dogs, especially, were very happy with Maria. They were given regular walks, cuddles and even got to watch the 2026 World Cup Final (which was a bit of a let down, to be honest, but they don't know that much about football, anyway).
Maria was great, she kept the house clean and washed the things she used during her final day. I felt much more comfortable with her than anything I had expected. She will definitely be on our minds next time we're planning some time away."

"Emily was our great surprise! Our regular sitter was busy, so we decided to try someone new.
When we first met her, we noticed she was calm and very attentive to all the little quirks we mentioned about our dog — and about me too, since I wanted daily updates.
She didn't just pay attention, she delivered more than we expected! She was so good with them that even our cat, who's social but NOT a lap cat, ended up on her lap. When we saw the picture, we knew we'd made the right choice!
We told her she didn't need to walk our dog if she played with him instead, since he can be a bit difficult (still a little anti-social with other dogs). She walked him every day anyway and handled him beautifully, even in the tricky moments.
And of course, we always pay close attention to how our babies are when we get back — they were calm and peaceful. Our dog even missed her afterward, just like he does whenever someone he loves leaves the house.
Do yourself a favor and book Emily — your pets will thank you.

"Narmada was absolutely wonderful with our pets (3 cats and 1 dog), and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter while we were away. From the very beginning, she was warm, caring and incredibly attentive to all of their individual needs and personalities.
Throughout the house sit, she kept us updated with regular messages, photos and little observations about how everyone was doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she wasn’t just following the care instructions; she was genuinely getting to know each of the pets and giving them plenty of individual attention, affection and reassurance. She noticed little things about their behaviour, remembered their routines, and was especially thoughtful about making sure all of them got extra love and attention while they were missing us.
She was also extremely responsible and proactive. Whenever anything unexpected came up (a feeder issue, a cat being sick, cleaning up a little vomit, the litter robot needing attention, or questions about their routine), she contacted us promptly and checked before doing anything she wasn't sure about. She was particularly observant about their behaviour and wellbeing, and made sure to send daily updates and pictures, along with descriptions of their interactions and little things she had noticed, which we really appreciated.
Our dog got plenty of long walks, the three cats were brushed and played with, and all of them received plenty of cuddles and attention. One of our cats, who normally isn't a fan of one-on-one attention, was actually actively seeking Narmada out for extra cuddles, which was a very welcome surprise.
Most importantly, the pets were clearly very happy and settled. By the time we came home, they looked fantastic, and we could tell from the photos and updates that they had been getting loads of love and attention. We were especially touched by how closely Narmada observed their personalities and how much she genuinely cared about them.
She was also respectful of our home, followed our instructions carefully, communicated clearly, and we felt completely at ease knowing our pets were with her.
Narmada went above and beyond, and we would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and exceptionally attentive pet sitter. We would absolutely have her look after our pets again."

"Kathleen is a wonderful sitter. Her kindness and calm shine through and she was thorough in all that she did during her stay.
Kathleen arrived on time to the minute on her first day. Having visited prior to sitting for us, our dog was delighted to see her again as were we. She was meticulous in checking the information we’d written down and raised questions for anything we hadn’t clarified.
Throughout her stay, Kathleen kept us up to date with photos of the pets and always responded quickly to messages. She was fastidious in ensuring our dog was walked in the coolest part of the day during the heatwave. Kathleen brushed our pets while she was caring for them, including daily grooming for our long-haired cat. Meal times with our pets can be frenzied and Kathleen managed this with aplomb
On our return the house was super clean and tidy. We very much hope Kathleen will sit for us again."
