"Searching for a suitable house & pet sitter was a daunting and time-consuming task. I’d not been away for several years while my cat who has CKD (chronic kidney disease) demands intuitive care. My dog is super sociable but has some trauma-related separation anxiety issues and will only go on walks with a trusted friend, namely myself or my husband.
Diego is a kind and intelligent soul who took care of them both flawlessly, paying attention to every minutia detail that I’d shared, while also using his own initiative independently.
Equally important, he left our home exactly as we’d left it and after some bad experiences in the past it was an absolute joy and relief to come back to.
He kept in respectful contact at all times - from our opening conversations and throughout the two-week duration we were away, sharing photos & videos regularly. Diego took care of everything and everyone as if it were his own.
If your goal is to go away with complete peace of mind, you’ve found your man."

"We were really happy with the care and attention Lauren gave to our two cats. She was kind, responsible, and kept us well informed throughout. When one of our cats suddenly developed diarrhoea, Lauren noticed it and let us know promptly, which meant we were able to come home in time and take the appropriate action.
It gave us great peace of mind knowing our cats were in such caring and capable hands. We really appreciated how attentive Lauren was and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring cat sitter. "

"Elliot was a great cat sitter, able to confirm early and house sit for our two cats while we were away.
Our house was well looked after, as we’re both cats.
He sent regular updates, dealt with a few surprise mouse deliveries and our supporter our technology addiction (digital cat flaps and feeders) very well.
Looking forward to being able to travel again soon knowing we have a trusted cat sitter to rely on."

"Lauren has been excellent.
From the moment we met Lauren we knew our home and pets are in amazing hands.
I cannot praise Lauren enough. She took care of our puppy and 2 guinea pigs for 13 days and we came back to a clean home and happy pets. She was sending us pictures of our pets every day and updated us as well.
Lauren as an individual is very polite and very happy. She even did the extra mile for us when a friend needed to pop in our house while we were away to pick up an item and also was happy for another friend of mine to stay for a couple days before going to Oxford.
We are definitely booking Lauren again and we highly highly recommend her for Home sitting."

"Emma stayed with my lovely elderly cat Daisy for two nights whilst I was away. She is friendly and efficient and replies to all communications very quickly so it was easy to make arrangements. She took lots of videos which was reassuring and stopped me worrying about Daisy. She left the house in immaculate condition. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for cat sitting and will definitely ask her in the future. Many thanks Emma."

"Emma is amazing! We cannot recommend her enough. One of our cats is a particularly nervous rescue who came to us from an abusive home, however she has been so confident with Emma! We couldn’t believe it! Emma kept us updated every day with pictures & stuff about the cats because we were on the other side of the world! Very lovely lady who we will be using every time we need a cat sitter now! Highly recommend! We are pretty sure the cats are looking for her around the house! :) "

"Laura is an amazing house and pet sitter. We cannot recommend her highly enough. She looked after our house, dog and cat impeccably whilst we were away. The animals were extremely happy, she kept the house beautifully tidy and safe, she was communicative and sensible if anything arose. It meant we could enjoy our holiday knowing the animals and our home were being so well looked after. Thank you again Laura! You are now our preferred house and animal sitter."

"Gabi and Brett were absolutely spot on in every way. Fantastic pre-holiday communication, and then Brett stayed with our Labrador and our cats over the hottest week of the Summer. He kept in touch every day without fail, with photos and videos of his interactions with our pets. We came back to a well-watered garden, and very relaxed animals who had obviously been excellently cared for.
Honestly I’m a little concerned that if this review is too glowing, they will become too popular and we definitely want to ask them to look after our pets next time!
Thank you so much, Brett and Gabi. "

Why house sitting ?
Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your New Malden home while you are away.
House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like New Malden.
At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.
The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your New Malden home is also being looked after as well.
In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.
